Replace tag instead of reverting?

Hey, Kingpin13, I have a suggestion for SDPatrolBot. Right now, it simply reverts the edit that removed the speedy deletion tag, but sometimes the creator has substantially changed the article in the same edit. See this edit as a particularly apt example; in it, the user probably changed the page enough to obviate the copyvio concern, but SDPatrolBot reversed those changes. Had an admin come along without noticing that, he might've deleted the page as a copyvio even though the author had made a decent effort to address the concerns. Of course I don't expect SDPatrolBot to detect the copyvio resolution, but could it simply replace the tag, rather than reversing the whole edit? Writ Keeper 14:14, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Writ Keeper. I think you must have misread the history of that page, SDPatrolBot actually doesn't use revert, it will add the template back to the top of the article, preserving any other changes made by the user removing the template. Except in the case of CSD-G10 nominations, in which case the bot will courtesy blank the article as a precaution. - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:09, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello, i removed the speedy deletion notice because the article was nominated for speedy deletion because we had Asin#Awards and Honours so i removed the accolades received by Asin from the article "Asin" and article doesn't exist Thank you,Fineuser (talk · contribs) 08:37, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
