• I posted the following on Talk:PA 103 yesterday and should be grateful for your advice: I couldn't work out how to move just the "Alternative theories" section rather than the whole "mother" article, so I laboriously transcribed the section to Alternative theories into the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. In the process of transcription I wasn't able to transfer the images of Juval Aviv, Vincent Cannistraro and Abu Nidal, but do not consider their absence significantly diminishes the impact of the new subarticle. The "Investigation" section comprises a number of important images which I think should be moved together with the full text to Investigation into the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. Can anyone suggest how this can be done or, preferably, actually transfer the section en bloc?Phase1 14:04, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

11th September Links

I am obviously making some sort of error in changing the links to avoid the redirect. See Fixed to Avoid Redirect and Re: Fixed to Avoid Redirect. I understand that the visible part of the link should be what the airport was called at the time. However, what I don't really understand is why the hidden part of the link should not be to the airport directly, rather than through the redirect (which slows page loading down). What is the value to the reader? I'm sure it's a perfectly valid and simple explanation and I'm just being thick (not the first nor I'm sure the last time).

I have no intention of changing them back and I'm not asking this because I want to start some sort of argument. I'm asking because I want to avoid the same sort of error in the future. Thanks CambridgeBayWeather 17:14, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

SAM 27000 and the USAF Museum

I see you added the following text to the National Museum of the United States Air Force article:

"(the other 707 that flew as Air Force One, SAM 27000, is on display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library)"

I am not sure what this has to do with the museum and its exhibits. There is no mention in the museum article of the location of other sister aircraft of any of the other exhibits. For instance, Bockscar is at the museum, but there is no mention of Enola Gay or its location. I wanted to discuss this with you first, considering that you have edited other aviation articles, so I didn't want to just revert your edit without discussion. --Rogerd 20:35, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Spread of French riots to Belgium

I'd like to know why you changed the article '2005 Belgian urban violence' into a simple redirect to the French main article, while the discussion was still ongoing. In addition, you did this without merging any content into it, thereby effectively deleting my article, despite the call for deletion being rejected a week ago. 1652186 16:07, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

World News Tonight

Hello,

Are you sure the World News Tonight entry should redirect to the article on the ABC bulletin rather than the disambig page? I'm not saying you're wrong, it just seems to me users could just as reasonably be looking for info on either the ABC bulletin or the Sky News bulletin (or for that matter any other similarly titled news shows I don't know of). - Matthew Humphreys 21:11, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the swift response. Fair enough view; the one thing I'd point out is that's probably only true within the US. On the other hand in the UK and Ireland the Sky News WNT bulletin is on in primetime, while the ABC bulletin is shown by the BBC at 1:30AM, so for Brits or Irishmen the Sky bulletin might be a more common use. (I have no idea about other countries, though I gather Sky News is carried on pay tv in much of the world.) Matthew Humphreys 21:39, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
