Image copyright problem with Image:Carlos.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Carlos.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Fair use rationale for Image:Picnicface.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Picnicface.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Can you please add sources for your addition in the Musical style section of the Justice article. kollision (talk) 01:06, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Beatles[edit]

Do not change the stated genres for The Beatles without a change in consensus. There is a consensus that was established after very lengthy discussions that the stated genres would be limited to pop and rock because they had so many genres that all could not be listed, and rock and pop are generic enough to cover most their music. For details read the talk page, including all of the archives. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 02:42, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Beverly Cinema[edit]

Reservoir Dogs is playing every Friday for the month of July, according to the website. The midnight screening was revived for the anniversary month, but there's no indication that it has been made permanent. Justinkrivers (talk) 03:07, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Replacement Child[edit]

I have nominated The Replacement Child, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Replacement Child. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Editor437 (talk) 22:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:IMDBscreenshot.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:IMDBscreenshot.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hi. I notice that you have edited this article in the past. An editor has nominated it for deletion here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/BrainPOP_(2nd_nomination)#BrainPOP Feel free to contribute to the AfD discussion. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:18, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of BrainPOP[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is BrainPOP. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BrainPOP (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:18, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:BrainPOPstartscreen.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BrainPOPstartscreen.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 03:41, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:CarlosLacamara.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
