Famousbirthdays.com as a source[edit]

Hi Sailor7sakura. I'm in the process of removing famousbirthdays.com as a source from Wikipedia, because it's not reliable (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). Thank you for this comment. I was having difficulty finding a reliable source, and I did look at what parameters wikipedia has (published, authors, authentic, relevance). I thought this reference fit all four aspects, and I could find authors listed, which tends to be an issue with webpages in general. But after taking a look at the discussion link you attached, I see this was a poor choice as a source, and I will avoid using it in future. A question, though - you're in the process of removing it from wikipedia? Does that mean you're removing it as a source from all pages that used it? Yes, I'm removing it as a reference from all pages. I did most of the work early this year, so now I just check occasionally for new additions. I can see how the message would seem confusing though. Sorry about that. --Ronz (talk) 04:49, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
