Nielsen Soundscan

Hi! I just want to ask where did you get the number-one albums for the years 1978, 1979 and 1980 that Nielsen Soundscan had compiled. Nielsen Soundscan was created in 1991. Hist-Merge

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Yasin Sebastian Qureshi a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Yasin Sebastian Qureshi. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.

Little evidence of notability, puffed-up references - and this is the toned-down version. WP:BEFORE shows most coverage is cryptocurrency sites and goldbug blogs. de: article is similarly bad for sourcing.

Hi Doniago, thanks for your attention to the edit. I'm perplexed, however, as I specifically used Genius because of the numerous references in the very same section using that source (references 268 through 271, for example). My question would be, why then are those references left as is? The point seems quite relevant (especially as this single names Perkins himself, and not just the Bates character), and Genius is used to reference Blondie, Eminem, Kanye West and L'il Wayne. Furthermore, there is a similar lyric reference between these (concerning the group Landscape) with no reference at all! So you can see why I'm confused. Please let me know how you see this. If there's other information sourced to Genius, my recommendation would be that either those citations be removed and replaced with a Template:Citation needed tag, or that the information itself be removed along with the citation. Genius is a self-published source.

Hi Doniago, first off, I hope you had a good vacation! I myself am quite busy at the moment, hence my delay in looking into this. Virtually all of the references in this section are from Genius; as I stated, that's why I chose it for my edit. Please take a look at them all -- it would make sense to treat all such edits in similar manner. This may also facilitate all affected editors taking advantage of a solution found by one.
