Nomination of Media Theatre for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Media Theatre is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Media Theatre until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.   // Timothy :: talk  04:05, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, I was the editor that nominated the article above for deletion. I genuinely hope you don't find this discouraging, although I know from experience this is hard to do. Please contribute to the discussion on the nomination page. It's certainly possible it will not be deleted if you make a good case for notability and others agree with you; I'm completely open to changing my mind if you convince me. Writing an article can be very difficult if you're new to Wikipedia and it often takes some time and experience before success.
If you wish me to, I'd be happy to request the article be moved to your draft space so you can continue to work on it; alternatively, you can post the sources on the nomination page or add them to the article for others to consider.
I believe it would be very helpful for you to study some guidelines about creating articles and subject notability. These are a good place to start: WP:N, especially the section on WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV, WP:WWIN, WP:NOTEVERYTHING, WP:RS, WP:V. Often there are specific notability guidelines for certain subjects such as people WP:NPEOPLE and organizations / corporations WP:NORG. You can view a full listing of the subject notability guidelines (SNG) at Category:Wikipedia notability guidelines.
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I genuinely do hope you're not discouraged by this. Best wishes from Los Angeles,   // Timothy :: talk  04:10, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Sean Thompson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Working actor, but meets neither WP:GNG or WP:NACTOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
