Not necessarily correct[edit]

The names are not the technical sections if they're generic. You will always here the name "Doomsday Device" when referring to electric chair/clothesline, just as you will always hear Hart Attack to the bearhug clothesline. We don't call a shooting star press a backflip splash, or a Shining Wizard a step-up knee, or a Go 2 Sleep a fireman's carry into high knee. As in, articles about fiction should be primarily out of universe, and information in the cast and characters section should really be OOU, instead of being written as though it's real. The fate of the characters is plot information, and should be there. As for killing oneself. Unless it's said specifically that he killed himself on purpose, which would be considered "self destruction" when you are dealing with a robot, unless specifically mentioning a reason ...like when Optimus planned to kill himself to save everyone...which in that case it would be considered a "sacrafice". But, for the most part, when a robot kills itself it can be implied that it was an accident, especially when you have an "evil" robot who has shown no prior efforts to be benevolent (so one wouldn't assume it was a sacrafice on his part). Don't talk to me about the plot size, I'm worse that Alien...just ask him ..lol ;). But to show you where it comes from, Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines#Plot. There are others, and they all pretty much say the same thing. The true idea behind a plot is that you should summarize the thing, not really "report back" what you saw. If I went in and wrote these things, they'd be much less detailed. For instance, this: "Mikaela criticizes Bumblebee's old Camaro form." really isn't important to the plot of the film, it's really a gag. There are little things like that, which aren't really important to the plot, so much as they are really just minor details that people believed to be important, or just thought was cool to mention. Frankly, it takes time to go through a plot and trim extraneous information like that, and I usually save it for FACs.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:25, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Block-style figures for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Block-style figures is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Block-style figures until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
