Question from Maggie mushrooms (20:28, 5 February 2024)

Hi! For the Bard Prison Initiative (BPI) page I see that it's categorized as a "United States prison stubs" -- however, BPI is not a prison but a college. How can one remove that tag/categorization? Thanks! --Maggie mushrooms (talk) 20:29, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi Maggie mushrooms, to remove a category there should be a section at the end allowing you to remove the “Category” tags as you wish. However, from a brief look I believe that category still applies as it’s an article concerning something relating to prisons, which doesn’t necessarily have to be an article about a prison. For example, 1970 Folsom Prison strike and the No Frills Prison Act aren’t prisons but have this category. Hope this helps! — ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 21:07, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from 4skoolfr (03:41, 6 February 2024)

Where do I get info from --4skoolfr (talk) 03:41, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi @4skoolfr:, to get information you can use the search function to find a specific page or search for keywords. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 09:52, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
to make a new page, where do I find information about it if its not in wikipedia 4skoolfr (talk) 22:24, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
4skoolfr, that would depend on the topic! Check out WP:Suggested sources for a few examples. I usually use Google News to try find coverage for articles when I’m writing them, but there are a wide range of sources out there for varying topics. — ser! Dameer

Hey Ser! I just wanted to thank you for making a page for Dameer. I noticed that you thought the previous deleted page was made by a sock but it’s not true. I was just not aware about the many citation policies so the page got draftified. Since the draft doesn’t have any use anymore, feel free to use it as reference and delete it. Keep up the good work 👍 Abyan Malek (talk) 19:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for getting in touch! Glad to have created the new one, I’ve been listening to his music for a bit. I think I was confused as I saw a comment at the top of the AfD about a similar article being created by a sock, so glad to clarify that. Not to worry, cheers for sending me the draft anyway. Stay well! — ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 19:29, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Question from MCochranCA (21:18, 20 February 2024)

I want to try to create a page for a public health non profit in California, how would I go about doing that? --MCochranCA (talk) 21:19, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi @MCochranCA:, to write a page on something like this, you would need to make sure it meets the guidelines at WP:NONPROFIT. If you find it does, then check out Wikipedia:Writing better articles for the guideline on how to create pages. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 13:18, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
