Bridge of four lions[edit]

There is a need for you to get a good handle on WP:RS and WP:CITE

Also on format and headings...

It all takes time to get used to it all - Lazarevsky_Bridge has some but most St Petersburg bridge articles have no citations at all, and help to clean that up would be appreciated... JarrahTree 04:14, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question re: images of New Mexico hot springs[edit]

Hello, Shari Garland, I'm Netherzone. Thank you for adding the image gallery to the Bandera Volcano Ice Cave article, it looks great! I wanted to let you know that I reformatted the size of the images to comply with the WP Manual of Style, and the images/pictures guidelines. I also have a question for you. I have created several articles on hot springs in the West, and a handful of them are in New Mexico. I was wondering if you have any photographs. It's been a challenge to find suitable images, because sometimes what can be found are photos from commercial establishments that focus on the commercial "spa ammenities" rather than on the geological phenomena of the springs themselves. I'm trying to keep these articles focused on the latter. When you find a moment, and if it's not too much trouble, please let me know if you have any images of hot springs, I'd really appreciate that, as I would like to add them the articles. You can reply here, or you can go to my talk page to respond, it's located at User talk:Netherzone. Best regards, and hope you enjoy your time editing Wikipedia! Netherzone (talk) 22:22, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone:Thanks for reformatting the gallery. I'll see what I have as far as local hot springs nature photos. Shari Garland (talk) 22:51, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Netherzone:I just added two photos to Wikimedia Commons:

@Shari Garland: Fantastic! Thank you so much, they are really nice shots. I'll add them to the List of hot springs in the United States, and will be creating an article on McCauley in the next day or two. I really appreciate your sharing these photos on Commons. Netherzone (talk) 03:07, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you![edit]

Thanks again for contributing your excellent photo of McCauley Hot Springs, the article is now live on the encyclopedia. (I used the one without people in it.) Netherzone (talk) 23:49, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone:Your article on McCauley Hot Springs looks great! Way to go.

Astialakwa Archeological District[edit]

@Netherzone: By the way, I noticed on your talk page that you are interested in indigenous culture. I thought you might be interested in writing an epic article about the Battle of Astialakwa which took place on a mesa (Guadalupe) beside the Jemez River in New Mexico. I added 12 photos of Astialakwa to Wikimedia Commons today. No pressure, just letting you know about the topic. Here are a few of the photos:

@Shari Garland: these are excellent images of Astialakwa, and thank you so much for the suggestion to make an article about the archeological district. It's a great idea! I'll get an article started, and once I do, will ping you. Maybe it's something we could work on collaboratively? Thank you for adding the images to Commons, I will have a look at all 12 of them. And will do some research online. It can also be linked to the Pueblo Revolt. I think I may have been to that area years ago. Best wishes, Netherzone (talk) 13:19, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've started the beginnings of an article on Astialakwa, which contains a red link to Battle of Astialakwa, the page for which can be started in the future. Please feel free to add content, images, and references (citations) to reliable sources. Don't hesitate to ask any questions about editing should you have them. Thank you for providing the inspiration for this new article. Netherzone (talk) 15:06, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone: I'll see what I can do. Shari Garland (talk) 15:09, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Hi Shari,

I've noticed how many interesting articles you have translated from Russian to English and vice versa. What great work you are doing for the encyclopedia! Seeing that you are interested in USSR/Russian nuclear history, I was wondering if you might find value in improving the Tsar Bomba article. It has been tagged for translation for a couple years. I would take a stab at it but I can't read Russian. If it's not your thing, no worries or no pressure! It just made me think of your editing skills! BTW, on a totally unrelated note, I just made an article on a style of Northern New Mexico Puebloan pottery Black-on-black ware. The research got me interested in the Tafoya family with five generations of potters working in this style/technique. I had no idea! I've ordered some books to learn more about the Santa Clara Pueblo and San Ildefonso Pueblo ceramic artists. Hope all is well with you and your family, and happy holidays. Netherzone (talk) 03:24, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Netherzone: I'll see what I can do on the Tsar Bomba article. Your article is very nice on Northern New Mexico Puebloan pottery Black-on-black ware. Translated articles[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your work. Please note that years, dates, and other chronological items are not generally linked on en.WP. Nor are commonly known words, including country-names. Also, metre is abbreviated as "m", not "M", and the decimal point is a stop, not a comma. I don't see this in the article I've just edited, but street addresses begin with the number, without comma: 43 Soldier St, Moscow. Tony (talk) 03:46, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Useful links re: deletion discussions[edit]

Hi Shari, I saw that one of your articles, Celia Reina, was nominated for deletion and is now at AfD. Here are some links that have useful information about Arguments to make in deletion discussions and also this one: Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions. Also useful is List of policies and guidelines to cite in deletion discussions. Here are general guidelines on notability: WP:N, in particular this section on the general notability guideline: WP:GNG, and more specific guidelines at WP:SNG - the SNG for academics is WP:NACADEMIC and the general one for people is WP:NBIO. All the best, and sorry to see that one of your articles might be deleted. You do really good work here and I hope it doesn't discourage you too much if the article is not retained. A tag has been placed on Galina Shatalova requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Galina Shatalova (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Ptakh Jung moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Ptakh Jung, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon

Hello Shari Garland. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Shari Garland. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Shari Garland|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GSS💬 03:22, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@GSS:Hello GSS. You are mistaken. I am not compensated for my efforts. I am strictly a volunteer. I try to be neutral and informative about various people, topics, etc. around the world. I aim to inform and help people better understand one another. Shari Garland (talk) 13:51, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@GSS: P.S. GSS, I would appreciate you kindly restoring the following pages (the first two from draftspace to mainspace, and the third from redirect to full status) because I am not a paid advocate:

Thank you. Shari Garland (talk) 14:21, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please explain what made you create Steve Pilot just a week after they posted a job online? I'm not going to restore these articles as they are not notable as per our policies. GSS💬 17:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did not see a job posting online. As for the notability of the articles I created, the articles stand on the WP:Basic criteria: "People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject." How are National Geographic Kids, Marie Claire, Travel + Leisure, Associated Press, Apple News, Yahoo! News, and New Vision (newspaper) not notable sources? Shari Garland (talk) 18:16, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you did not see a job posting online can you explain what made you write an article on this non-notable fitness trainer? also, where I questioned the reliability of these sources? it's not about the reliability it's all about WP:SIGCOV and WP:N. None of the sources you provided in the above article establish notability. GSS💬 17:06, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
GSS, Shari Garland, Just wanted to jump in here as a friendly talk page stalker. Shari, as you know I've been a supporter of your work since first discovering your interest in New Mexico and the excellent pix you uploaded to Commons thereof. I have to say though, I noticed that that your writing here has taken a turn towards the promotional/advertorial in the past couple months. I had some of the exact same thoughts as GSS about several of your more recent articles - that they seem like Undisclosed Paid Editing WP:UPE. Perhaps it's just the tone in which you are writing, but if indeed you are taking on work in which you have a conflict of interest WP:COI, whether thru an online ad or other means, it is really best to admit a mistake of judgement. If you do have a COI with any of the articles, or if you were compensated in some way, either paid or in-kind, there are guidelines that editors must follow. Otherwise you risk losing your editing privileges by a block or indefinite ban. I suggest that you carefully read all the links GSS has provided so that you understand WP's policies on such matters. I think you have a lot to offer the encyclopedia but if you are engaging in COI/UPE it will eventually have an unpleasant outcome. Netherzone (talk) 21:00, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah Anala[edit]

Hello and thank you for creating Sarah Anala. I'm not sure if you know this, but some critical information (the URL, for example) is lost when machine translating French references to English. I usually find it faster and better to use the Cite dropdown on the RefToolBar. I did that for Sarah Anala. Thanks. --- Possibly 00:28, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Possibly: Thank you for your great updates to the Sarah Anala article. I found the cite dropdown feature you mentioned. I'll have to try it. Shari Garland (talk) 01:27, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Teller Ornelas[edit]

Hello again! Can you explain the image of Barbara Teller Ornelas used in the article, a watercolor painting? It seems to be credited to you.The image credit reads "Watercolor portrait of Barbara Teller Ornelas by Shari Henning Garland." Do you know her? Thanks. --- Possibly 00:34, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Possibly: I have not met Barbara Teller Ornelas. I wrote her biography on Wikipedia this week for the WikiProject: Indigenous women. I looked on Wikimedia Commons for a photo to include in her biography, and since there were none available, I added one. I created an illustration for my Wikipedia article by creating a watercolor painting and uploading it to Wikimedia Commons. Shari Garland (talk) 01:27, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I am impressed! That is quite the commitment. I asked about this at the Teahouse to see what people think, as it's sort an artistic interpretation of a photo by an editor. I appreciate it artistically, but I am not sure that it adds that much to the article as it artistically interprets what she looks like rather than showing us what she looks like in a photograph. As you know we eschew interpretation and focus on literal statements here. It's a fairly unique situation! In any case, thanks for the significant effort and for the explanation. --- Possibly 02:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Possibly:Interesting. Before photography, there were paintings! To be clear, the photo I added was of my watercolor painting. Shari Garland (talk) 02:48, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I understand. It's an amazing effort. We do sometimes use paintings of article subjects, but they are usually realistic portraits done by professional painters, and contained in museum collections. The Metropolitan Museum of Art releases many of their images, and some of these have in turn appeared in articles as infobox images. This is the first time I have seen an editor make a painting of an article subject. It's interesting but I am not certain that it is a good idea, as I do not see what it adds beyond your interpretation. It only very vaguely describes what she looks like. --- Possibly 02:54, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I took the painting out of the article, and started a thread at the article talk page, so as to preserve this interesting discussion. --- Possibly 03:01, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Possibly: I am a professional artist. Some of my paintings are in museums. I made a quick painting, I believe a good one, for the article because there was no photo. You can add a photo if you find one. Perhaps Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia should establish some criteria for paintings used as portraits. Shari Garland (talk) 04:15, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Here is my representation of Barbara Teller Ornelas for those who might want to know the source of this topic. Shari Garland (talk) 16:50, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My questions that remain are:

1) Should I, as a professional artist, continue to make watercolor paintings and upload them to Wikimedia Commons for Wikipedia articles?
2) Should my watercolor portrait of Barbara Teller Ornelas be added back to the article Barbara Teller Ornelas?
3) If the answer to question 2) is yes, then who should add my watercolor portrait of Barbara Teller Ornelas back to the article?

Shari Garland (talk) 18:48, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry you haven't had a definitive reply until now. As an administrator here, my direct responses to your questions above are:
  1. No, whether made by a non-notable professional or amateur artist, such impressionistic and somewhat naive paintings are not sufficiently representative of the subject, and are also likely to be seen as derivative works (example). For both reasons they have no place in this encyclopaedia.
  2. No. It should not be added back in. As wonderfully well-meant and generous as your idea was, reinserting the picture under discussion into the article would add nothing encyclopaedic to it. There is now a photograph there, and I would prefer to see no image than to start inserting sketches and drawings by non-notable artists into all sorts of articles.
  3. No-one should. My reading of the consensus at Talk:Barbara Teller Ornelas is clearly against using your painting. We don't form consensus on the basis that there are more 'readers' out there who have not contributed to discussions or cited policy than who have, no matter how keen you are to see it being used.
Finally, just to add, I don't think anyone has said your picture is terrible. It's simply that material of that nature is, in general, not appropriate for articles about people in this encyclopaedia. I have spelled out on the article talk page a special few situations where it might just be. Sorry. Nick Moyes (talk) 19:50, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nick Moyes, In response to your responses:
1) My painting is an original basic portrait.
2) There is a photo that someone placed in the article, but the copyright situation on that photo has been up for discussion. I do agree that photos are preferred when they are available without copyright infringement.
3) Three hundred years from now, it will remain more encyclopedic to have a painting used as an illustration in an article rather than to have no visual information. Shari Garland (talk) 20:52, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Happy to clarify[edit]

Hello Shari. In this post at the Teahouse you asked me "...Nick Moyes, what exactly did you mean when you said: "I applaud their work in helping to redress the balance of too many male-focussed articles here, but not to the extent of pushing pictures they've done of people in this way."" It seemed best to move that question to your talk page, as it's about time the very long thread there gets archived. I'm only too happy to justify my remarks, but first, could I ask you which bit you'd like me to explain - 'redressing the balance', or 'pushing pictures'? It'll save me time if I know which element irks you and requires further explanation. Nick Moyes (talk) 21:45, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Moyes, What did you mean by "their work" and "they've done?" I just wanted to make sure you were not being derogatory towards the project. Shari Garland (talk) 23:00, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, OK. I really wasn't anticipating those particular questions!
  • By "their work" I meant "your work", without any interpretation as to your gender. It was an innocent use of a non gender-specific personal pronoun, though I recognise I had earlier assumed you to be female. Sorry if doing so has caused offence. In my disproportionately (3:1) female household, the use of the word "she" whilst criticising the actions of someone to a third party tends to result in the criticised person saying "Who's 'she'? - the cat's mother?" So I often try to use "they" quite innocently in an attempt to come across less aggressively critical when expressing concern as to the actions of any gender of person. To me, your gender, and those of all other editors is unimportant, though your - and their - actions and intentions are not, and I believe I have made that quite clear to you. By "your work" I mean your editing here - you appear to have made some great contributions by way of new articles to the encyclopaedia, and I was applauding and recognising that fact. We still only have around 19% of articles here about women, and anything that increases that percentage is to be welcomed.
  • By "they've done" I meant "you have done", without any interpretation as to your gender. It was another innocent use of a non-specific personal pronoun when addressing a third person. Sorry if that has caused you offence, though I remain unclear how it would have done, and I have never been picked up on it before. By "you have done" I meant pictures, portraits and other artistic impressions or representations of people in any medium that you have created (i.e. done) in good faith, whether original works or derived from existing imagery (whether copyrighted or otherwise).
  • By asking if I was being " derogatory towards the project.", do you mean Wikipedia or WP:WOMRED? In both cases, absolutely "no". If you look at my userpage you will see I have created videos for the Women in Red Project, and have helped run two International Women's Day editathons, and I have even expressed a willingness at WP:AAU (when time allows) to adopt any genuinely committed female editor needing support and guidance in improving their editing skills and understanding of policy. Just ask RogerB or RosieS-G about my motives and actions as both an editor and an administrator here.
I hope that adequately addresses your questions and concerns over my statement, and my genuinely innocent use of a non-gender-specific personal pronoun at the Teahouse whilst nevertheless expressing deep concern over your keenness to insert what I regard as an inappropriate and quite unnecessary image to an article that you had created. Like I have already advised, I would urge you to WP:DROPTHESTICK on that one. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 00:12, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nick Moyes, Thank you for attempting to explain yourself. Very interesting, indeed. Shari Garland (talk) 00:42, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with WP:DROPTHESTICK, and furthermore, deeply hope that you do not extend any intention to add paintings of people to Wikipedia biographies. David notMD (talk) 16:40, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

History of metallurgy in the Urals[edit]

Hi @Shari Garland: I was planning to review this article: History of metallurgy in the Urals. I've reviewed several articles before, all very large ones, so have experience of doing this kind of work. I was planning to start tonight if your up for it. scope_creepTalk 12:21, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Coolio. scope_creepTalk 15:03, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article History of metallurgy in the Urals you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Scope creep -- Scope creep (talk) 01:01, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Scope creep: Excellent. Shari Garland (talk) 01:16, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Shari Garland: I think it will take longer than 7 days as it is a massive article. I've left some comments on the review page. scope_creepTalk 11:25, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Scope creep: Thank you for letting me know. I'll check that out. Shari Garland (talk) 15:39, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Shari Garland: I see you have updated without going through the review. The formal process is usually to check each point in turn together, discuss it and complete it and then move onto the next one, with a check mark or something like that. Charging ahead like this means your not drawing the best out the article or the discussion to determine what is the best for the article. I see you have already made several mistakes in the lede, for example linking to the Kontuazsky forge article on ru wikipedia for an article doesn't exist? A simple note explaining what it was would have sufficed. Please examine the 2021 Tennessee floods GA to see how the back and forth works to seek consensus. I'm not sure how to proceed or if you want to proceed. scope_creepTalk 22:10, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Scope creep: We can proceed however you think is best. I can wait to make the rest of the changes if that is standard procedure. I thought your write-up was the review and that the article creator/ translator (myself) was to complete the necessary changes in approximately one week. When am I supposed to work on changes? Shari Garland (talk) 22:32, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I thought that. We do the lede first tonight, still got a couple of hours left. scope_creepTalk 22:36, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article History of metallurgy in the Urals you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:History of metallurgy in the Urals for issues which need to be addressed. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Scope creep -- Scope creep (talk) 23:21, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Scope creep: Thank you for all your helpful feedback. I made the changes that you proposed. I think the article sounds a lot better now. Shari Garland (talk) 02:36, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Shari Garland: It is unfortunate you have cancelled the GA review. It is a big article and was likely to be big review. I guess somebody else will take a crack at it at some point. Everybody seems to have one or two very large article they can't manage. I have one or two that are still on my todo list and haven't looked at them in years. It seems to be a thing. If you need a hand with anything, forward me a ping. See you around. scope_creepTalk 15:09, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Scope creep: This is not about management, I quote what I wrote on the Talk:History of metallurgy in the Urals/GA1 (section) - "Due to current events I am no longer interested in improving this article. Shari Garland (talk) 14:54, 4 April 2022 (UTC)" Shari Garland (talk) 15:14, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article History of metallurgy in the Urals you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:History of metallurgy in the Urals for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. I welcome your feedback and look forward to collaborating with you. Thanks, Maya2022 (talk) 14:55, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Maya2022: Thanks for reaching out! I just googled "Carlos Hank González," and it looks like an article has already been written about a man by the same name - Carlos Hank González. Is this the same guy? If it is, Wikipedia only allows for one article, not duplicates. If your article is not about the same guy, can you post a link to your draft so I can view your article? I can give you advice on your article, but I can't publish someone else's writing. Further, be sure to add a Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure label to the talk page if necessary (I noticed on your profile page that you do some paid editing for Banorte). Happy editing! Shari Garland (talk) 23:55, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shari, thanks for responding. Sorry for the confusion! I used the wrong link to my userspace draft in my first message to you. The correct link to the draft is here: User:Maya2022/Carlos Hank González Draft.

The Carlos Hank González on whose behalf I'm editing is the Chairman of Banorte and the grandson of the Carlos Hank González who died in 2001. He is notable in his own right, as one of the most important businesspeople in Mexico (according to a RS) and a member of the president of Mexico's Business Advisory Council.
Can you explain why you wrote that you can't publish someone else's writing? I am not suggesting that you take credit for my work; only that the draft be looked over and moved to mainspace by an unbiased editor with interest in the subject matter and the ability to verify Spanish-language sources. (I don't want to move it myself due to my conflict of interest.) I hope that clarifies things - thanks again! Maya2022 (talk) 01:12, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Maya2022: Your article looks great, and it includes quality sources in good quantity. The subject is notable. Perhaps try adding an infobox and image to further amplify the article. For example, the article "Bill Gates" includes an infobox and image. Perhaps contact Wikipedia:Teahouse and ask there if someone can publish your paid contribution article. Good luck! Shari Garland (talk) 04:50, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Gabriela Asturias Ruiz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article does not meet notability criteria laid out in WP:BIO, and is also suspect for self-promotion as laid out in WP:NOT, evidenced by the inappropriate addition of page to notable alumni list of Stanford University School of Medicine and numerous unsourced Honors.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
