Damn good job[edit]

I have been toiling away on that glossary off and on for over 2 years. I am extremely grateful that you came along and banged out the rest of the glossary of philosophical isms.

What a relief. Now I'm going to sit back and read it.  :) But first...

In addition to a special award I've placed on your awards page (upgrading your previous award), I've nominated you for the Star of Sophia. It is the highest honor bestowed by the Philosophy WikiProject, and its recipients are added to the PWP's Hall of Fame, displayed on the PWP's main page for all to see. To date, only 10 Wikipedians have received this honor. If and when two more PWP members nominate you in recognition of the same or other contributions to philosophy on Wikipedia, you will be granted the Sophia. Keep up the good works in philosophy. I hope to see you in the Hall of Fame someday. The Transhumanist 09:26, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism drive[edit]

Well, I've reverted and warned 110 vandals (on January 9 (3), January 10 (50-ish) and January 11 (50-ish), so it'll be easy for you to check). It's been interesting but I don't think I'd like it as a day-job :) Having rollback and Twinkle helped enormously. --ROGER DAVIES talk 20:31, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rudget![edit]

Dear Sharkface217, my sincere thanks for your support in my second request for adminship, which ended with 113 supports, 11 opposes, and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank my admin coach and nominator, Rlevse and Ryan Postlethwaite who in addition to Ioeth all inspired me to run for a second candidacy. I would also like to make a special mention to Phoenix-wiki, Dihyrdogen Monoxide and OhanaUnited who all offered to do co-nominations, but I unfortunately had to decline. I had all these funny ideas that it would fail again, and I was prepared for the worst, but at least it showed that the community really does have something other places don't. Who would have though Gmail would have been so effective? 32 emails in one week! (Even if it does classify some as junk :P) I'm glad that I've been appointed after a nail biting and some might call, decision changing RFA, but if you ever need anything, just get in touch. The very best of luck for 2008 and beyond, Rudget. 15:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC) [reply]

a thank you note[edit]

Thanks for participating in my RfA!
Although it failed 43/27/0, I'm happy because the outcome has been very helpful in many meaningful ways. Your support and remarks contributed so much to this. If you followed my RfA you know what happened. Most of the editors who posted opposing opinions have never edited with me. Some articles I edit deal with controversial topics and with respect to a very few of these, editors who didn't know much about me had some worries about confrontational editing and civility. Since I support their high standards I can easily (and will gladly) address this. The support and ecouragement to run again soon has been outstanding, thanks again. Cheers! Greetings again Sharkface, since my sign up for vandalism combat, I feel I have successfully completed the tasks:

Cheers dude. Wisdom89 (talk) 02:20, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Two things: A. There is a difference between a ban and a block. B. In the last half hour [7][8][9][10] 4 of your reported users were removed for insufficient warnings and not editing past a final warning. Metros (talk) 02:37, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Although I already addressed this on my talk page, so I'll just make a quick reiteration - A user does not need to receive a final warning to be reported or blocked. Wisdom89 (talk) 04:34, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Award center inquiry[edit]

Hey there SF, Wisdom89 again. I just wanted to ask you a question since you seem quite on top of things regarding the Transhumanist awards. I signed up for a "challenge" of kindness I suppose you could say, where the feat was welcoming 1000 users. However, User:Luksuh seems to be in the middle of a period of lengthy inactivity. I notified him/her of the success here: [11]. I was wondering, what kind of barnstar would be appropriate, and if it's possible (not that it's terribly important really) someone else could award it? Ok (to avoid confusion). Here are the final stats:
  • 2400+ Vandals Warned
  • 200+ AIV Reports
  • 20+ blocks. (Obviously way more based on the AIV reports, but it would take me a decade to list them.)

Question[edit]

How did you create your list of articles started? The Transhumanist    18:13, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Err, every time I create an article, I usually add it to the list. Is there a mistake on the list (it's been known to happen, as articles have been deleted and then recreated by somebody else)? --Sharkface217 05:44, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. I was asking because I'm looking for the fastest way for a user to create a list of the pages he or she started. I thought you might have used a special trick or technique. So far, I've learned of this tool. It only lists articles created in the main namespace, and you have to linkify the results yourself, but it's still a shortcut. If you come across any better ways, let me know. I've added this one to the User Page Design Center, so everyone can benefit from it. The Transhumanist    07:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The AFD Barnstar
For taking the challenge and making over 50 contributions to AFD, I - Milk's Favorite Cookie hereby award you this Barnstar. Congrats! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 19:43, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. It looks good. I changed the images surrounding the image you uploaded. You might have to change some of the links though. What do you want to have for sections? "New Assignments" "Award Winners" etc? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 12:31, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Я Для Tебя[edit]

The page says "Я Для Tебя went on to chart #5 in Russia." so I think it may be notable if the chart position can be verified. I can't read a word of Russian, so do you think I should tag it for expert? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 03:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

my RFA[edit]

Thank you!

Thank you for your support in my RFA. The final vote count was (73/3/1), so I am now an administrator. Please let me know if at any stage you need help, or if you have comments on how I am doing as an admin. Have a nice day! :) Aleta Sing 17:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Query[edit]

Do you think you can get through to User talk:Perl? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:19, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So far, I'm giving him a chance to retract; I was hoping you could get through to him. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:11, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for trying; it's kind of you. I looked at his talk page, and see there's nothing new since yesterday; further response on my talk. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:54, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WP: AWC newsletter[edit]

Hmm.... Maybe you should have "Assignment of the (week?) (month?)" and "New Assignments" - that's all I can think of as of now. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:05, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! We can do that. How far are you in the newsletter? Anyways - when you're done you know where to go. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:29, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great! Are those the only two assignments you are planning to add? ANd oh yeah:
