I am new here and I was trying to learn how to do this please forgive me for doing it wrong. I thought I was following the guidelines can you help me? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Signaturelink (talkcontribs) 22:23, 21 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

From at least one IP, you were adding external links to your commercial website, signaturelink dot com, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for your advertising. The policies that are relevant here are WP:SPAM and WP:COI, and I believe that after reading them, you will see that Wikipedia is simply not the place for your links. I suggest you try using Google Adwords instead. coelacan talk — 22:30, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am new here I appreciate your patience. SignatureLink offers valid content regarding digital signatures. I had never used wikipedia before and I should have read the guidelines first. I just didnt think I was doing anything bad. I was inititally using it to see how it worked. I appreciate you giving me some references so I can figure everything out quickly. I noticed other links on there. I felt like what I was adding was useful to readers. My intentions were not to spam but to add reference material. Other links and articles are refernced to the website. If I was doing something wrong I wouldnt be contacting you for help. My main concern is that we weren't going to be flagged as spam. SignatureLink is revelant and hope we can be a contributor in this industry.
