While we are reasonably patient with the creation of new articles, when you create a new one like Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, it really must have some readable content that at least says who or what the subject is. I suggest you start it in Draft space, at Draft:Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, and then submit it for review when you think it is ready. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:12, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Derrick Agyen-Berko[edit]

Hello Silveronline24,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Arthistorian1977 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Derrick Agyen-Berko for deletion, because the article appears to be about something that you or someone you know personally invented, coined, or discovered, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important-enough and/or recognized-enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Arthistorian1977}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Notice

The article Erick Opoku has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unable to find any reliable sources that verify these claims. Links given are broken or do not mention him. There is another Eric Opoku who played with the national under-17 team but he does not have the nickname Diego. I suspect this is made up, like the author's other articles.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 17:11, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Erick Opoku. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with being blocked from editing, or other sanctions. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. – Fayenatic London 07:04, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help Me tag[edit]

You posted to the talk page of the Help Me template, which does not create a formal request for help. To use the template simply put {{help me}} in the edit window of this page(without the "nowiki" tags you see in the edit window). However, before you do that, you should read the advice on this page. 331dot (talk) 12:00, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Erick Opoku for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Erick Opoku is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Erick Opoku until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:08, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • For this article to remain, you need to find Reliable Sources (click that link to find out what we mean by that) demonstrating that Erick Opoku satisfies the notability standards required by WP:NFOOTBALL (again, click that link to understand the requirements). Essentially, you need to provide evidence that he has, at the minimum, played in a competitive game between two teams from fully-professional leagues. If you can not do that, and nobody else finds such sources during the deletion discussion, the article will almost certainly be deleted. So far, none of the sources you have provide even mentions his name. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:34, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
