February 2010[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page 3 Idiots (2010 film). Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process. March 2010[edit]

Stop creating fake articles! There has been no official news or announcement about any such film!!! Johannes003 (talk) 16:35, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mr. Louis Rozario Doss requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Joseph Vijay[edit]

Hey, there has nothing been announced yet, neither the title nor the director or the cast or crew has been officially confirmed yet. Please show me an officially confirmed announcement, then may continue your edits. Johannes003 (talk) 12:46, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't cite an unreliable source or a Vijay fansite. Give me a link from a neutral, reliable, notable site like Rediff, Sify or Indiaglitz! Why are you in a hurry? Let's wait till official announcement is made, than you may create your site! Johannes003 (talk) 14:13, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tamil Remake of Bodyguard has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Just announced future film, doesn't pass WP:FILM

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —SpacemanSpiff 01:17, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Tamil Remake of Bodyguard, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tamil Remake of Bodyguard. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. —SpacemanSpiff 02:59, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 16:54, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sura Lyrics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

A tag has been placed on 2011 FA Cup Final requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Vijay articles[edit]

Hi. Although 3 Idiots has been confirmed for Vijay, please don't add it to the filmography section until it has its real Tamil title. Also, do not create pages for new films that have not started shooting yet. Wikipedia only allows film articles for movies once shooting has begun. Thanks. AfD nomination of Kaavalkaaran[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Kaavalkaaran. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kaavalkaaran. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Movie articles and titles[edit]

There's a reason why I left a comment saying "do not create the article for Rascal until filming is confirmed to begin" on the Joseph Vijay page.

Do not create movie articles/pages before the movie is officially confirmed to start filming.

Also, "Tamil Remake of 3 Idiots" is an INAPPROPRIATE title! Never ever give such a title to any movie article, even if it doesn't have a official title yet. And stop messing up the 3 Idiots page and adding information about Rascal there.

Always wait and be patient before news arrives. We don't need to be in a rush to put Rascal's information on Wikipedia. EelamStyleZ (talk) 03:49, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

December 2010[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Moovar. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 14:58, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 14:58, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You might also like to read the talk page of the article now called Moovar where I asked about the films name which was constantly being changed in the text to something other than the articles name, which was originally 3 Rascals. It would be nice if someone could explain to me what this is all about! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 14:58, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
