Lanjar[edit]

I'm not sure I understood your redirect request correctly. Since the Lanjar article is currently about some Armenian village, we cannot turn it into a redirect towards the article on the Lanjar tribe. We might move the village article to a name like Lanjar (village) or Lanjar, Armenia and afterwards move the article on the Sindhi tribe to the name without qualifiers (the latter step would require help by an admin), but I'd suggest providing some reliable sources on the tribe first. Huon (talk) 23:29, 2 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, I've given some other cite book references for my article Lanjar tribe, please make a look on it, and help me out, thanks ilyas 14:45, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

If you're asking if the references are notable for Wikpedia, then yes I believe so. The article nows cites sources, so I removed the "Unreferenced" tag. I hope this answers your quesiton, SwisterTwister talk 21:48, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I looked briefly, and concur with SwisterTwister, so I removed the help request.--SPhilbrickT 12:42, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Footnote at Khaskheli?[edit]

Greetings, you added a footnote at Khaskheli, but I can't tell what you're actually trying to verify with your citation. First off, the footnote occurs right after the word "Khaskheli", and when I open the cite it just shows two points where the word was used in a book. What is it you're trying to evidence with this footnote? MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:18, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just trying to give references to the tribe Khaskheli , the existence of this tribe is proven in those cite books, check it thoroughly brother. thanks. ilyas 21:05, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Showing the existence is fine and well, but what would be needed are references for what the article actually says about the tribe: For example that they were a warrior clan, that they participated in the defeat of Raja Dahir, that they fought the British, and so on. The Imperial Gazetteer calls them a "criminal tribe" which might be taken as an indication of their warlike habits and anti-British sentiment, but that's a lot less than what the article currently says. On the other hand, the Asian Journal of Women's Studies article mentions them in connection with a rather vile incident of torture-murder which our article does not mention (probably rightly so, but that leaves nothing in that source relevant to our article). Thanks for contributing new article Seth Harchandrai Vishandas. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Cind.amuse 22:52, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My article Seth Harchandrai Vishandas is I think now should be well sourced and the tags of un-referenced should be removed because I've added enough sources for its verification. Many citations of different books and news are added to the article. as a Wikipedian I request the administrators to see my article and removes the un-referenced tags.

ilyas 19:46, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

I have removed the "unsourced" and "notability" tags since the secondary sources establish notability. You could have done so yourself; that does not require an administrator (I am not an admin, either). The article still needs more copyediting, though. Huon (talk) 20:21, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
