Proposed deletion of Claire Démar[edit]

The article Claire Démar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Nearly unreadable machine translation of fr:Claire Démar.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of Lynn Povich[edit]

The article Lynn Povich has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Status and Advice[edit]

The references you added were not adequate: they basically consisted only of her own website, which is not a reliable enough source to show her notability. I did what was necessary, find her books in Worldcat and add the references to them, along with the library holdings. To fully show notability according to WP:AUTHOR, it will also be necessary to find reviews of those books. Additionally, the article claims "awards". These must be referenced to 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases or the subject's own web site, or material derived from press releases. Please see WP:Reliable Sources for a further explanation. And please learn our style of referencing, We need more people writing on notable women, but it has to be done correctly.
