You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Aghamore GAA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - MrX 02:17, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

May 2015[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to a page, specifically File:Kilkenny GAA Crest.jpeg, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. See WP:NFCC#10c and WP:NFC#UUI §14. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:36, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free images[edit]

Hi Sliothar. I just wanted to let you know that I removed File:Kilkenny GAA Crest.jpeg and File:Galway hurling.gif from your user page. These are non-free files and therefore must satisfy all 10 of criteria for non-free use specified in WP:NFCCP. One of these criteria, WP:NFCC#9, states that non-free files are only allowed to be used in the article namespace, or "mainspace", which means they are not allowed to be used in drafts, templates, and on user pages, etc. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Also, if you think that removing the images was unwarranted, you can ask for further clarification at WP:NFCR. - Marchjuly (talk) 04:34, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Kit design[edit]

Hi sliothar (is your nickname a reference to the hurling ball?? :) ) I use Photoshop and/or Gimp to draw the kits. If you check italian wikipedia, you'll be able to find a lot of other kit I've made (Cork, Clare, Wexford, Mayo, Armagh, Meath, Wicklow, Derry and others). I'm finishing the Tipps now :) User:Kanchelskis — Preceding undated comment added 21:15, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it was meant to be sliotar but I misspelt it ;) Yeah I saw the ones you did on the Italian wikipedia, they're excellent! Is there anyway you could get them onto the English wiki as well? Is there anyway you could add a change/away kit to the infoboxes? because all nearly GAA teams actually have a second kit. Cheers! Sliothar (talk) 10:27, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Of course feel free to use them in en.wiki, I've uploaded them on Commons so that every wikiproject could use them. In it.wiki I could manage to also modify shorts and socks (and being O'Neill the supplier of quite every kit, with the three lines the Adidas ones are perfect). Concerning change kits, the original creator of the infobox excluded them maybe because at the time they were rare (some teams such as Kilkenny doesn't even have a change kit). Btw, sorry for my english, are you from Ireland? Kanchelskis (talk) 16:09, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your English is grand! Yes I'm Irish myself, what about you? Sliothar (talk) 11:01, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about CLG Cill Chomáin[edit]

Hello, Sliothar,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether CLG Cill Chomáin should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CLG Cill Chomáin .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Speedy deletion nomination of Kiltimagh Knock United F.C.[edit]

Hello Sliothar,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kiltimagh Knock United F.C. for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hello, Sliothar. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Michael Glaveys GAA, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Notice

The article Ballycroy GAA has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No effective references. Unsourced since 2015. Fails WP:SIGCOV.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. scope_creepTalk 20:52, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
