Regarding edits to Real Girl[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Snoezerd007! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule groups\.msn\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Róisín Murphy[edit]

Hi there, thanks very much for all your work on the Róisín Murphy related articles. Just wanted to give you a heads-up on a few things to remember when editing:

  • Please see WP:FU, which pertains to non-free images. You cannot upload a (copyrighted) cover of an album and claim it as your own work. You need to tag images correctly and submit a fair use rationale.
  • Please check out WP:CHARTS and WP:SONGS about formatting.... song titles are "quoted", not italicised. Also charts tables should not contain any boldfacing or any extra characters or colors, etc.
  • Try to make use of the "Show Preview" button before saving the page. This helps with avoiding clogging the article's edit history with many small edits.

Again, I appreciate your hard work on these - just thought I'd mention this stuff so that you don't spend time editing articles, only to have it reverted. Any other questions, just ask! - eo 13:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mattafix[edit]

Please apply the above comments to your edits to Mattafix as well. Be careful about song and album title formatting - see WP:SONGS, in particular the section about namng conventions. Words such as "the", "in", "and", etc. should not be capitalized in article titles. Thanks. - eo 14:42, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ruby Blue (Album).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ruby Blue (Album).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Muchness 14:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The following images you uploaded are also missing fair use rationales: Image:Overpowered (Album).jpg, Image:Let Me Know (Single).jpg, Image:Overpowered (Single).jpg, Image:Sow Into You (Single).jpg, Image:If We're In Love (Single).jpg, Image:Signs Of A Struggle.jpg, Image:Cool Down The Pace (Single 2).jpg. --Muchness 14:02, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your image uploads[edit]

Hello. Please only use the {{PD-self}} tag when you are the copyright holder of the image you're uploading. Copyright images such as album and single cover art must be tagged with an appropriate non-free image copyright tag (in this case, {{Non-free album cover}}) and accompanied by a fair use rationale. Thank you. --Muchness 13:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop uploading copyright images with {{PD-self}} tags. Doing so violates Wikipedia's non-free content policy, which states that all copyright images must include an appropriate copyright tag and fair use rationale. --Muchness 19:12, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves - Stop now[edit]

Your edits are becoming more and more disruptive. Wikipedia has style guidelines, and these need to be followed when creating articles for albums and songs. Please see WP:ALBUMS and WP:SONGS as well as WP:MoS. Words such as "the", "a" or "and" are not capitalized in article titles. Please stop reverting the formatting corrections being made to Mattafix and others. Thanks - eo 16:19, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Mattafix, you will be blocked from editing. - eo 16:20, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Róisín Murphy, you will be blocked from editing. - eo 16:21, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Living Darfur[edit]

Please stop adding "download charts" here. They are not sourced, and they are identical to the iTunes Store positions which were removed earlier today. iTunes is not an official chart and should not be included in tables per WP:CHARTS. Renaming then "download chart" does not change this.

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Living Darfur, you will be blocked from editing. - eo 18:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mattafix - Trivia tag[edit]

Do not remove this tag without any explanation. Trivia sections are discouraged and there is a reason for the tag's creation and inclusion in articles. Either incorporate the items into the text of the article or discuss on the article's Talk Page. Thanks - eo 12:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Siobhan Donaghy (Logo).jpg[edit]

Again, you cannot upload a copyrighted image (in this case, a logo) and claim it as your own artwork. You will have to correct this tag and submit a fair use rationale or the image will be deleted. - eo 14:04, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cool Down The Pace (Single 2).jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cool Down The Pace (Single 2).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Twist Of Fate (Single).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Twist Of Fate (Single).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:59, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ghosts (Album).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ghosts (Album).jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:45, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
