Colossus

Hello, hey why are you taking off what I added to the Colossus web page? I think that is some good info to add. Rodrigo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.203.233.77 (talk) 20:47, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Mojave IS the next version of Windows

Windows Mojave IS the next version of windows go to www.mojaveexperiment.com, could you please update the page to include this new info, thanks (UPDATE : I Appologize the video didn't finish loading, it was people tricked into trying vista)

Re: coffee

Thanks, I needed that! I'm sorry for the weirdness, I tried to revert my revert and my warning, but apparently I ended up reverting myself twice, so I had to revert myself again, and, yeah.

since I'm here already, I take this opportunity to say, "Holy crap, you are stinkin' fast on Huggle. You'd give Cluebot and DerHexer a run for their money..."

Cheers, and keep it up!

Shimmy (disambig)

Excuse me, but how does 1960 song by a group that hasn't been together since the 1970s count as advertising or promotion? Especially when one is putting a well-known song title with "Shimmy Shimmy" in it, on the "Shimmy (disambig)" page. Please explain that to me. --69.22.254.108 (talk) 17:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for being nice.
As it happens, I myself was just looking for information about the song (mostly how to spell it -- shows up all different ways on the net), and myself actually wound up on the "Shimmy (disambig)" page -- so I can say from personal experience that someone looking for "Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop" would indeed end up there. And I don't know how old you are or what kind of pop-music background you have, but it was a major R&B hit in 1960 and remains a popular song from that era.
And I'm neither Little Anthony nor imperial! :-)
--69.22.254.108 (talk) 17:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Again, that's kind of you to say. I'm actually registered, but sometimes I forget to log in, and so then I just stay with the IP so as not to seem like two different editors.
And if you're expanding into classic pop, may I heartily suggest 1960s Motown. Start with The Temptations, then go to Smokey Robinson, and finally The Supremes. Trust me, it's all sweet! --69.22.254.108 (talk) 20:56, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Automatic Revert

Your bot reverted my edit, leaving no explanation. This appears to be a false positive. 70.91.178.185 (talk) 18:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

You're extremely quick for being semi-automated. The "new messages" banner was literally on the article after I'd just saved it.
Anyway. My tone was assuming this was completely automated; humans make mistakes and I feel bad now for being so short. You're doing a good job, thank you for policing the wiki. 70.91.178.185 (talk) 18:28, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

About the ""This article needs additional citations for verification." box you put on the North Witham article

Hey,

You seem to have added the ""This article needs additional citations for verification." box to the North Witham article i improved yesterday, it'd be helpful if you actually specified which sections you were talking about as it's a fairly long article.

Cheers,

Jeremypb —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremypbellamy (talkcontribs) 18:26, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Ah it seems i copied it from the Grantham article, thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremypbellamy (talkcontribs) 18:41, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Feral Kiddies

It was a constructive edit. The article exists and should be linked on the Feral disambig page. Feral Child only appears in the See Also section of Feral. It deserves to be alongside a videogame company and a satirical newspaper on the disambig page, no? 24.245.19.187 (talk) 08:35, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Huggle

Please don't make changes like this one; MediaWiki automatically formats the link (click the edit link and see how this formats so the "s" is wlinked; jam sessions). —Giggy 09:01, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I removed the "His Dark Materials" from Lake Inari, because it clearly said "Enara... is thought to be an alternate version of Inari". That's blatant speculation, and I put "speculation" in my edit summary. What's more, there's no citation provided for this claim. So please could you explain why you reverted my edit? Thanks, 86.164.93.163 (talk) 11:27, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Lampedusa has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Bourbonist 11:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

You're mass reverting random edits across Wikipedia, so you obviously do not have any idea on the topic. I'm working on adding references. One has already been added. Its an issue of human trafficking and illegal immigration. - Bourbonist File:CuoreVandea.svg 11:55, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
The previous line was ambigious. It might be mistaken for legitimate and legal transport of the normal variety or something like that. And yes, it is a crisis, enough to be a major politicial issue in Italy with the current government highlighting it. - Bourbonist File:CuoreVandea.svg 12:05, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
No problem. :) - Bourbonist File:CuoreVandea.svg 12:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Pond Meadow School

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Pond Meadow School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. CultureDrone (talk) 18:02, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Fraserburgh

The edits I made to the fraserburgh page (twin town of bressuire) do not count as vandalism so why did you revert this? Previous vandalism on the account was due to users of a shared ip address. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.195.217.126 (talk) 07:48, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that - it looked like, in the context of your previous warnings, you were adding misinformation on the page - especially as it didnt have a source. May I recommend creating an account, so that you don't get affected by any blocks this IP may receive, and so that you can keep a clean record and don't get judged unfairly. Thanks - Sorfane 09:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Ad hominem

Why did you delete my ad hominem example taken from conservapedia? it WAS constructive —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.51.102.224 (talk) 09:39, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia differs from Conservapedia in that we strive to keep a neutral point of view. If you made your edit ambiguous, so you dont refer to anyone or anything in particular, your edit could be suitable for this encyclopaedia. Thanks - Sorfane 09:45, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Sassco

Hi. Feel free to take Sassco to Afd, but it is not a candidate for speedy deletion. 203.194.16.90 (talk) 12:54, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Just AfD'd it. Thanks - Sorfane 12:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I know. I requested a speedy delete on mine. I created mine using TW, so we just ran into each other by accident. Cheers! Arbiteroftruth (talk) 13:41, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. You've nominated Glenn Phillips up for CSD but it appears to actually have content below the references section, and it appears legitimate. You may wish to review this again, i've added the hangon tag for now. —CyclonenimT@lk? 16:24, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah. He's deleted it under G6 now since it's a duplicate, hadn't yet checked for that. Get's confusing when I'm trying to check things and when I get there, it's already been deleted! Thanks for the explanation. —CyclonenimT@lk? 16:42, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorfane, this is from the ip 80.98.142.40,

I stand by my firm belief that what I said conforms to the neutrality requirement of Wikipedia.

The blame of Antisemitism is a very strong political weapon, which evidently shapes the world today. (Whether there was Antisemitism involved or not.)

Of course, I do not expect you to return my change, but you confirmed what was confirmed to me many times ago.

Kind Regards,
