Welcome![edit]

Hello, Spudgrrl, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! <--- The wording up to here is a canned message, but I am a real person choosing to send it to you. And I want to say congratulations, really, for getting started in Wikipedia with a new article that is surviving and improving. Far too many persons try to start here but are frustrated and discouraged by finding their contributions deleted and their Talk page filled with negative bot-generated complaints and warnings, usually before any real person finds their way to welcome them. I hope you will not be discouraged if/when you get some negative messages too, but rather let negativity slide off your back and keep on going. It is rewarding, you'll find, to make permanent contributions that change what the world knows (i.e., what is in Wikipedia = what is generally known, in my opinion). Keep up the good work! Cheers, --doncram 16:31, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
