Seether, etc.[edit]

Please do not undo the formatting cleanup efforts to these pages. Changes were made to adhere to Wikipedia style guidelines - this includes removing multiple over-wikilinking and the removal of boldfaced chart positions per WP:NPOV. Thanks. - eo 17:48, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course non-U.S. charts can be included. They do, however, need to be properly sourced and should not be component charts (such as airplay-only, digital-only, ringtone-only, or one-radio-station-only). - eo 17:55, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Meant to leave you this link as well - a good guideline for future edits: WP:CHARTS. Thanks - eo 18:08, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Next time, keep the corrected table formatting, instead of going back into an older version of the Seether page to copy your preferred version to the discography page. If you had done a simple copy and paste of the most recent version then there would be no problem. - eo 16:11, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was not perfect before. The formatting was incorrect; that's why I tidied it up. When you moved the information from the main Seether page to its own discography page, you ignored what I fixed and took an old version of the table and copied that over instead, which was not correct. South African charts can be added to what is ready there, however, the information needs to be sourced and unofficial charts should not be included... this would be stuff like MTV charts, MySpace charts or anything that is not verifiable by official tracking of sales and airplay. Don't create an entire new table for South Africa or separate out any country, this goes against WP:NPOV. As I mentioned before, chart positions should not be boldfaced either. - eo 19:57, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Saron Gas Demo has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Does this sound fair? - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 20:15, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am still a little hazy on how it is notable... - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 21:01, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 5 Songs (The Decemberists EP), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: 5 Songs. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Six Gun Quota[edit]

I put down it was goin to be the next single because in most cases, when an artist has a song put up on their home page or myspace, along with only the singles released already, it is probably goin to be the next single. One case like this is in Finger Eleven. "Talking to the Walls" was posted on their myspace/website, and turned out to be the forth single. This might be the case in "Six Gun Quota". Anyways, it's a pretty good song.... If I had to pick the single chronology, it would be: "Fake It", "Rise Above This", "Six Gun Quota", "Breakdown", "Walk Away From the Sun", and finally "Wasted" or "FMLYHM". I'm not sure. --Crocodileman (talk) 20:12, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Amy Lee, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. License tagging for Image:DaleStewart.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DaleStewart.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seether Demo CD[edit]

I wasn't there, I was just researching information about their demos and came across that information a few times. One of the bits of information was what you posted on the Seether message boards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.109.30.141 (talk) 22:39, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't been on in a few months, but my username is TheEffect. I'll probably get on sometime soon though... I'm hoping they include demos of songs that were actually released as well, and maybe even a few covers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.109.30.141 (talk) 03:51, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in Saron Gas 2 Track Demo[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Saron Gas 2 Track Demo, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Saron Gas 2 Track Demo is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Saron Gas 2 Track Demo, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hello. You attempted to replace the current title of Humans Being with content about a band. I've reverted your actions, and redirected the created page back to that title. You need to discuss any title usurpations on the talk pages of the articles, and you also can't perform cut-and-paste moves, as they violate the GFDL license under which all content is submitted; instead you should use the move tool at the top of the page - but only after consensus has been reached. Please see the page Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks - Toon05 23:21, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The simple solution is to just create the page for the album at Humans Being (Dorp album), which won't upset the flow of the universe ;) - Toon05 23:35, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of This City Needs a Hero[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article This City Needs a Hero, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. chrylis (talk) 04:45, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tweak-Self-Titled-album-cov.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

A tag has been placed on Paul Walsh (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of MaxNormal.tv, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.discogs.com/artist/Max+Normal.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. CSD Tagging of MaxNormal.tv[edit]

Dear Steve 37 -- I CSD tagged MaxNormal.tv too quickly. You tagged as "hang on" and I subsequently went in an removed both the "hang on" tag and my own CSD tag. I'm sorry for doing that -- I was too quick on the CSD trigger and I apologize. Thanks. Saebvn (talk) 23:40, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. - You may still want to address potential copyvio problems per CorenSearchBot. I make no judgment on that. Saebvn (talk) 23:41, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Max-normal.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Max-normal.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:31, 4 October 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 00:31, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Humans Being.JPG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Humans Being.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:37, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
