Ways to improve Eghosa Anglican Grammar School[edit]

Hello, Sunnycash,

Thank you for creating Eghosa Anglican Grammar School.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hello, Wikipedia is not regarded as a suitable source on Wikipedia. You will need to find alternate third party reliable sources for this article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eghosa Anglican Grammar School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://eghosaoldboyshouston.org/our-history/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I also deleted your userpage, as it was copied from the same source. Please do not copy content from other websites into Wikipedia, Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 01:35, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet ready[edit]

Better, but not ready yet. Refs 2, 3 and 6 are to sites that have near-identical content, and are all the old boys network. Replace this with one ref. That leads to two problems: the old boys network is not an independent source of information. Refs 4 & 5 are about history of nationalization of education, but are not specifically about the school. Can refs be found about the school, independent of the alumni? Do not have to be available on line or in English. Secondly, the wording feels too close to the wording from the old boys newwork. Perhaps not the copyright infringement that got an earlier version Speedy deleted, but still close. Do some more rewriting in your own words. David notMD (talk) 11:21, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
