Welcome![edit]

Feel free to write and say hi!

Hello...[edit]

I'm that guy who put up that video link about the recent hacking crisis on the Youtube talk page. Sorry if it sounded like I was spamming. Hackers are a very real problem on Youtube and I just wanted the Wikipedia community to be aware of it.--67.87.66.127 (talk) 12:12, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope I didn't offend you by deleting your section. I watched the video and I thought it was a little suspicious. If you want to add a section about hacking on the YouTube article, be bold and add it yourself. Someone will be happy to help if you want your entry to be copy-edited. • Supāsaru 14:11, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP's guideline on in-universe writing[edit]

Do you happen to know the link to that guideline? QuasiAbstract (talk) 14:16, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clue (Film) Plot Summary[edit]

Supasaru, I have written up a shorter plot summary for the article Clue (film), which I have placed on the talk page. If you have a moment, please take a look, let me know what you think, and feel free to edit further. Thanks! DC (talk) 21:14, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help me: Category deletion[edit]

{{helpme}} Can someone confirm if Miscellany for deletion would be the place to go if I'd like to propose deleting Category:Films based on board games? So far, there is just one film in there, and I highly doubt there will ever be a "Pictionary: The Movie" or "The Biography of Mr. Monopoly", so this category is over-kill. • Supāsaru 17:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure Categories for discussion is the best place. I have only every really been involved in Article for Deletion discussions. Tiddly-Tom 17:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comments on Têtes à claques[edit]

1. her* (correcting your comment left here)

2. The comment was made because User:Alex 8194 undid my initial changes to the article. I apologize if my comments seemed out-of-line. Perhaps I should have insulted his language skills in general; as far as I am aware, the wording he was attempting is not legal under French rules, either.

3. Between his actions, and my removal of his undoing of my inital changes, I believe there was another change that added an accented e to "Le genie." This was not my change, and I apologize for overlooking it. 72.37.171.52 (talk) 22:23, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

4. I can explain about the accent on the "e", I didn't put it intentionally. I was in big hurry, I did it very quickly. I don't even remember me having written "le" with an accent. I didn't say in my mind «I'm going to put an "é" on the word». I just pressed it the "é" button mistakenly, that's all.

P.S.: I understand why you disagree about the new clip section, I will not put it back again in the article.

The trick was to look in the right place. Variety will always reliably report who is doing what in film. I don't know why Hasbro don't make anything of the deal, but perhaps they're sensible enough to sit back and let things happen, or not, such are the vicissitudes of the film industry. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 02:16, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help - interlanguage link[edit]

I am having difficulty fixing the interlanguage links on Wikidata. The Wikipedia page on Wikidata and the Help page on interlanguage links aren't very clear to me. I go to Wikidata, click on "Edit" on the list of Wikipedia links, type the new name, hit Save, and nothing happens.

The reason I'm asking is that I've recently moved the French Wikipedia article Les Deux Visages to Les Deux visages. The interwiki links don't appear on the new page anymore. Can you show me how to fix that?

Now I see the interwikis at that page. You should simply wait for a while. Also, you could make WP:NULLEDIT to the page at fr/enwiki. --Edgars2007 (talk/contribs) 16:19, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Flageolet[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Flageolet. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 20:23, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Martin of Sheffield: My edits were not intended as vandalism. The page about legumes indicated that "flageolet" was a legume (see the diff). I was simply not paying attention and added the category of "Edible legumes" to the wind instrument, insted of the legume's page.
I've added the "Edible legumes" category to the actual flageolet bean article now.• Supāsaru 16:10, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks for clearing that up, I now totally accept that your edits were a mistake and withdraw the charge of vandalism. I'm sure though you can see how adding "edible legume" alongside "fipple flute" looked! I like what you are doing with the legumes, I've recently split off a similar out-of-control list from Edith Cavell. Regards, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 16:23, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia 15 in Winnipeg[edit]

Wikipedia is celebrating its 15th birthday on January 15, 2016. I have thought for a while that it would be neat to meet some local wikipedians. According to the wikipedians in Winnipeg or Wikipedians in Manitoba category you are one of us. I am contacting people in this category to say: Let's celebrate this milestone. If you know other wikipedians, please ask them to join in as well.

I am posting this to your talk page as a transclude so that any updates will show up automatically.

Hope to see you there! Tenbergen (talk) 04:46, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One other Winnipeg Wikipedian showed up, in addition to a number of regular skullspace members. It was nice to actually talk to someone else who has worked with Mediawiki and actually "gets" transclusion. Cake was eaten! Tenbergen (talk) 06:37, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Aw, apparently I haven't logged in to Wikipedia in over 6 years and I totally missed this message and the event! I guessed I missed any 20 year celebration, too. Let me know if you end up doing a 25 year one. :) Clayton Rumley (talk) 22:52, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Tenbergen:Hey T! It was nice meeting you yesterday. I may swing by SkullSpace again to partake in the activities. Cheers!
