December 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Elmo Shropshire has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vivLWSrY85k, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4C8QBoSjw0, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcQmOugVoxE. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. About help[edit]

Sorry, reguarding this "big change" i can do anything by myself because i really don't know the argument and, seeing the chrono, i've not understood "where" or "when". If you retain that somebody changed some true facts, you can add a request and explain the details here or here.

Notes: Remember that Wikipedia is not a primary source or a reference itself. PS: Please, avoid to copy and paste text from other websites (it is copyright violation). Thanx. --Dэя-Бøяg 03:54, 28 December 2010 (UTC

OK will do. But just so you know...This page has been the same with minor changes here or there for years. This year on 10-5-2010, someone made a change and was not required to cite any references or proof. They just went in and changed the original artists of the song to the Irish Rovers, and no one questioned it or asked them for factual backup. And it's not true! I know Wikipedia is all about getting things right, so this needs to be changed.

Then on December 21 someone else did the same thing, only this time they said that the song was re-recorded so to avoid making royalty payments. No factual proof or references, and besides what they write was purely subjective and not factual anyway. So I am hoping I can get these 2 incidents "undone". I feel like the guilty party here, and actually I don't understand how these 2 changes were allowed to be made. (I now understand why you were asking ME to back up my statements with facts! But why didn't these people have to do the same? Anyway I will try going to the place you directed me to and THANK YOU so much for your help!!! So sorry to have to bother you with this.

The problem we have is that millions of people believe what they read here, and re-qoute you. Dr. Elmo was on tour and had to keep answering the question "I didn't know the Irish Rovers originally recorded the song." Anyway I think you get the idea. Thank you for listening. FRUSTRATING! Pam Thank you! Pam (----)

Dr. Elmo Shropshire[edit]

No, I am not the owner or operator of Dr. Elmo's website, nor have I made very many edits lately to Wiki pages related to him. I'm a fan & have several of his albums; that's how I know that certain songs appeared on them. I am unable to help you, so please don't look to me for answers.
