Proposed deletion of Journal of Bengali Studies[edit]

The article Journal of Bengali Studies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable new journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Academic journals[edit]

In order to get a "minimum understanding of academic journals" on Wikipedia, you would do well reading our journal article writing guide. In addition, to get used to the environment here, you should read some of the policies and guidelines in the "welcome template" at the top of this page. WP:CIVIL is another thing you should read. Finally, as recommended in the block template above, read the guide to appealing blocks and then put in a reasonable unblock request. WP is a very collaborative environment and if you work with other editors here in a collaborative way, you will find that editing here is very rewarding. A tag has been placed on File:Cover image of JBS Vol 1 No 1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
