Notes[edit]

Hi! I wanted to give you some quick notes. Offhand the draft looks OK, but be careful about overusing quotes - you should use these sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. I was also slightly confused about the focus on the senior thesis Kagan wrote, as I expected this to be brought up again later somehow or to more clearly show how it plays into her later career/opinions. Maybe rephrase it a little to show this? It's not a huge issue, but it was a little jarring.

Finally, make sure that you're careful about sourcing. Sources like this aren't considered to be a reliable source on Wikipedia because they're seen as self-published sourcing. This undergoes little to no editorial oversight and is unlikely to be considered a reliable source in places like academic journals. Even if you're only using it for quotes/info in Kagan's thesis, you've still got to be careful because we can't guarantee that her wording wasn't altered somehow. It's not hugely likely that it was, but there's still that chance.

Other than that, this looks good so far! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:18, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
