Zira[edit]

Regarding the removing of template from Zira, it is because that info has been added to the actual article now. This article was created by a bot, and after adding the info to the article, the uncat is supposed to be done -- Lost 18:29, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your comments on my talk page, let me explain a bit more in detail to you. user:Ganeshbot created thousands of articles about Indian cities based on some demographic and geographic data. You can see their list at User:Ganeshbot/Created. However, other Indian cities already had info about them at Wikipedia. The bot put these articles under the list: User:Ganeshbot/Not created. Now I was merging the info from these articles to the existing articles. So you may see Zira (India) for example. As part of the procedure, I am also supposed to uncat and untemplate the bot articles and then strike them in the list. What you did would add the bot article to the list of Punjab stubs which would be a duplication of the other article. I hope I have not confused you further. Please let me know if you want more clarification -- Lost 19:18, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your query as to why leave the template and not delete it, I am not the best person to answer this. I have asked the owner of the bot, user:Ganeshk to reply to you. He will reply whenever he is online. -- Lost 19:37, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Deleting the template line would work too. The end-result should be that the sandbox town be removed the category list. Uncat is one other way to do it and is the procedure we are following while merging the BOT info into the article. After all the articles have been merged, the sandbox articles in the user space will be deleted. Hope that answers your question. Please let me know if you have any questions. - Ganeshk (talk) 19:54, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. You did not mess any system. It's okay to be bold. Happy editing! - Ganeshk (talk) 20:03, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Thanatosil! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Thomas Daetwyler - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 17:33, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Thomas Daetwyler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find substantial coverage in reliable sources to indicate that the article's subject meets WP:BIO inclusion requirements.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Gonzonoir (talk) 09:26, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
