The IP address for my school (62.84.228.7) has been blocked for vandalism. This is obviously a shared IP address for the whole school, and I would guess that this has just been an isolated incident and would like to see it unblocked for the rest of us who aren't pricks and enjoy using wikipedia responsibly. Any replies or suggestions welcomed.--TheCooperman 10:37, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't appear to be an isolated incident the block log has many entries for that IP address. The block expires shortly so you'll be able to edit again, but the only sure fire way of preventing the disruption is to stop the vandalism. Try contacting you schools system admin and see if they can tie together their access logs and the acts of vandalism and then deal with those responsible. No vandalism = No blocks. --pgk(talk) 21:23, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

Hey, just to let you know Wikipedia tends to be really minimalist on the use of capitalization. Things that you might put in all caps other places, like Mixed Martial Arts, is definitely not in caps here and should be mixed martial arts. Let me know if you have any questions. Re: Michael Bisping[edit]

Thanks man, I missed that - back in 1994 MMA was mostly knows as "No Holds Barred" or NHB fighting, sometimes as "bareknuckle" or "extreme fighting". It was the US sanctioning in 2001 that coined the term "Mixed martial arts". So, at the time, I guess it would've been called NHB. When he returned in 2003, "MMA" was just taking off in Britian (I'm not too up on UK MMA, but I think Cage Rage 1 was the first "MMA" sanctioned event in the UK)

As far as the Marijuana Wiki, I havent checked it out as of yet - I'm trying to limit myself to one Wiki - as this stuff is addicting!

Thanks for the heads up, and keep up the good work!

A discussion is happening right now on the fate of UFC 84. Because the outcome of this discussion could affect other MMA event pages and how/when they are created, your input would be greatly appreciated. The discussion is happening here. Thank you for your assistance! Gromlakh (talk) 17:50, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
