Ellen DeGeneres

Jonathan, I am not deleting anything from the Ellen DeGeneres article. I am rearranging the order of information; for example, 'Puppy Drama' and 'Wealth' belong to the 'Personal Life' section, not the 'Professional Career' section.

Needless to say, I am done editing. O btw I hadn't realized I had not logged in.

Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.51.171.187 (talk) 22:28, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry! I thought you were blanking restlessly! Once again, sorry. Jonathan 01:39, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Adopter

Hi Jonathan,

I've started to clean up the Adopters' list. You appear to have changed username since you added yourself to the list but not updated your info there. In case you're still interested, can you kindly update your information? Or, if you're not interested any more, would you mind removing yourself? Thank you and happy editing, Snowolf How can I help? 22:46, 21 December 2007 (UTC)~~

Ahh, brain asplode...

Your userpage is... so... so beautiful! Can I steal a few parts? Pretty please? Master of Puppets Care to share? 02:48, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! Anyways, yes. I'll "care to share", as long as you credit me, if you don't mind! Jonathan 02:51, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure what I'm going to 'steal' yet; give me a while to sift through your code. :) And you can borrow from mine if you like; no need to credit me as mine is just a jumbled mix of others'. Cheers, Master of Puppets Care to share? 03:00, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah...I just remodeled it. I'll keep it, but I do like your userpage a lot! Cheers, Jonathan 03:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind...

Hi, Jonathan. I hope you don't mind, but I have asked you a question on your admin coaching page. It is one that may come up if you run for adminship. -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 10:53, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Backwards

The IP is the sock, not the master. You listed them backwards on the SSP case. KL is a notorious puppeteer. RlevseTalk 15:43, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

The talk page of KL was protected, so I couldn't use TW on that page. Thus, I had to list them backwards. Thanks! Jonathan (talkcontribscomplain?) 15:45, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
I'll fix it. RlevseTalk 16:18, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Removing AfD tags

Just to let you know, an AfD tag should not be removed if you add a Speedy tag. there are two reasons:

  1. If deleted per the speedy criterion, the admin who performs the deletion can close the AfD.
  2. If the admin denies the speedy, then the AfD discussion resumes. If the AfD tag is removed, the admin has no way of knowing that there is an AfD discussion.

Thanks for letting me know; that was the first case where I had needed to do that. Jonathan (talkcontribscomplain?) 16:39, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Triumph

Not blanking things from the Triumph article. Simply adding information and rearranging to eliminate the (discouraged) trivia section. You will find the information intact, now under "History". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.166.193.150 (talk) 20:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but you removed about one and a half paragraphs. Thus, I clled it blanking. Jonathan (talkcontribscomplain?) 20:41, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Reply

I was simply categorizing the page, how is that vandalism? 67.163.33.214 (talk) 19:55, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Categories don't need to be linked like "[[Category:*|*]]". They need to be just like "[[Category:*]]". Jonathan talk \ contribs 20:01, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Correction, yes they do. Do you know how userboxes all begin with "User"? Well think what would happen if you categorized them all like you say. All userboxes would be categorized "U", so most userboxes use that system of categorization. 67.163.33.214 (talk) 20:08, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Here's a screenshot to show what I mean:
Thanks! Jonathan talk \ contribs 20:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes what you call "few exceptions" is not, that is policy, read the info on the category pages. 67.163.33.214 (talk) 20:46, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Firefox 2-0-0-11.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Firefox 2-0-0-11.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:24, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

2Moons

You reversed a deletion I made in the articles on 2Moons, the MMORPG. It's partly my fault, since I was not logged on when I made the deletion, then logged in before posting on the discussion page, so it wasn't clear that it was me. Regardless, I re-deleted the section, with a reason in the edit subject, and expanded upon my reasons for deleting it in the talk page. Please feel free to check to make sure my edits now meet Wikipedia's standards. Thanks Reyemile (talk) 17:30, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ET-Entertainment Tonight logo 73.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:ET-Entertainment Tonight logo 73.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
