Re: I was wondering that myself...[edit]

Okay, not sure exactly what you're talking about in your post reguarding Captain (Historical and Romantic). I didn't delete your article, or even suggest to delete it. I simply tagged it with certain cleanup templates that let other people know it's still a work in progress. If you continue to work on it, please make sure you adhere to a neutral point of view and also find reliable sources. The article needs a lot of work, but I'm sure it can be a valuable article on Wikipedia. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 10:04, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know you didn't delete it; given my experience with Wiki editing, that would seem to be just a matter of time. The point was making is, the tags were added with what seems like undue haste, before I'd finished the whole thing; Now, It seems likely to be a waste of time because of perceived impatience. However, I watch with interest. Feel free to add to it, as the title includes yourself as well.

They are in no way meant to perceived as impatience. I simply add those tags to new articles so that they will actually get assessed eventually. Otherwise, some articles can become stranded and end up being unassessed for a long time. These tags just add them to certain categories, where they will eventually be assessed. If you plan on making a large edit within a small time period, please add the {{Underconstruction}} template to the top of the page, while working on it. I probably won't be adding to it, as I'm not much of a writer. But you can have at it. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 10:18, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BY THE TIME I SAW THIS, GENTLE READER, THE ARTICLE WAS NO MORE. HAVE A LOOK AT THE APPROPRIATE PAGE AND SEE THE SPEED WITH WHICH THIS CONTRIBUTION WAS DELETED, AND CHECK THE TIME AND DATE SIGNATURES. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Stealth Ranger (talkcontribs) 09:51, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

Didn't think I needed to sign my own page, with a message clearly from myself... The Stealth Ranger 11:56, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They are not always as 'clear' as that. But besides that, you typically sign emails that are obviously from you (the email address would give it away). It's a pretty standard practice anywhere you go. Also, it includes a date and timestamp so that we know when you posted it. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 15:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems I'm being supervised.......

A new Oxbridge user box[edit]

The Stealth Ranger...I am currently in the process of writing a user box for all of the colleges that are part of Oxbridge. This template is meant to replace your current college template. Please take a look at the work in progress and comment on it. My main concerns are college abbreviations and color choice. I am using scarf colors for the colleges. Thank you. - LA @ 18:11, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Jack Crow[edit]

Hiya!

Well, here's what I got from the link on the Jack Crow page:

The 'protagonist' anti-hero is Jack Crow, a notorious celebrity, famous for the stealing of a prototype of an early FTL Drive. A morally questionable character with views and opinions that are just as questionable, he has been branded a pirate for that action, but has somehow gotten off the hook. This does not mean that he is not still wanted. He is a tough man who does not hesitate to kill, but he is constantly at odds with his own morality. He understands the difference between his celebrity reputation and his real personality. At times, his reputation is more of a burden than a blessing.

Personally I find that this makes all the similarity in the world. Jack Sparrow is what you would call an anti-hero, and the protagonist at that. From the backstories, we see that he was branded a pirate for doing something morally right - setting to-be slaves free. The thing is, Jack isn't constantly at odds with his own morality. Although he does 'see' the difference between celebrity/real personality, he really likes to merge the two. And come on, it's Jack Sparrow, so what can we expect? Haha :P

I'm really glad to have been able to speak with you. I am absolutely interested in reading your Vampire Encyclopedia, especially considering I'm writing a Vampire novel and a Merlin novel at the same time XD

Yes, Aparna, I switched it back to my real first name, because it's so much more simpler. Of course I'd love to talk Vampires! Personally, I think the author of that book in particular had gone on a Pirates-high XD haha. Anyway, what are your favorite vampire plotlines? Is it relevant to a book, series, film, television show...? Aparna[talkBlackPearl14] 21:07, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mind you writing on my page, it's absolutely all right to use as much space as you need, after all, that is a talk page :) Anyway, in speaking about Vampire fictions, the ones that I hate the most are the Twilight series. I know it's a fad mainly because kids love all that blubbery, slobbery love ;) So you believe in them? Aparna[talkBlackPearl14] 23:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
