September 2014[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Divock Origi. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Kareldorado (talk) 13:15, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Divock Origi's "false start"[edit]

Hi Thedorigi, I invite you to take a look at the talk page of Divock Origi. The match against Luxembourg was meant as official international, I know, but because of one Belgian substitution too much (7 instead of 6) this match is no longer considered as official by FIFA. For the same reason, Romelu Lukaku saw his hat-trick wiped away. Are you willing to undo your latest edits at Divock Origi? Thanks, Kareldorado (talk) 13:30, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stats in football players' infoboxes[edit]

Hi, when you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. This shows when the stats were last updated and prevents editors from accidentally updating the stats again. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 17:05, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Qed237. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Mats Hummels without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Mats Hummels, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. QED237 (talk) 18:59, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. QED237 (talk) 19:28, 20 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox updating[edit]

Hello. The point is, you hadn't seen him play a full match for Derby. If you had, there wouldn't have been a problem with it being updated. At the time you updated, Mr Ibe was still on the pitch with a good 25–30 minutes left to play. Another time, please wait until the end of the game, or at least until the player has been subbed off, and then set the timestamp properly. It's supposed to reflect a time at which the stats are unambiguously correct, so needs to be set to a time after the last match included in the stats; 17:48 was two hours before the match you were counting kicked off. The easy way is, if you set it to five tilde characters ~~~~~, the system will translate that into the current date and time. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 22:20, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the five tildes ~~~~~ when updating so we get a correct timestamp AFTER match was finished. Thank you. QED237 (talk) 23:03, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, it must be a time AFTER the match not 10am. QED237 (talk) 14:47, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
FINAL NOTE. A timestamp AFTER the matches has been played. The match on 3 February ended around 21:00 GMT and not 10:08 like in your edit. You have been told how to update. QED237 (talk) 23:16, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. @Ronhjones: Hi, I am not here to question you and you probably know better than me. I just feel like the editor wants to help but dont know how (lack of communication I dont know why) so it is hard to say "not here to build encyclopedia. An indefinate block could to me seem to hard, a long regular block could be enough, but I also understand and respect your position. QED237 (talk) 22:27, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Qed237: Indefinite is not a long block - it's of unknown length. User has already "sat out" one block and no evidence of asking for help. Indef forces discussion if they want to continue. Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:33, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ronhjones: Thank you for the explanation. I did not look at it that way. QED237 (talk) 22:35, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If I'm blocked indefinitely, does that mean I can't talk on people's talk page? I feel this seems a bit harsh as I'm only here to update footballers profiles accordingly. Also I've noticed someone has added 3 goals to divock origis wiki page. he only has 3 goals in league. QED, if you'd be kind enough to revert that change. Thedorigi (talk) 18:58, 23 February 2015 (UTC)thedorigi[reply]

As explained "indefinately" is not forever so If I were you I would try understand why you were blocked and learn how to edit correctly. Then you can make unblock request and if unblock is granted you can edit yourself. Do you know why you have been blocked (a tip: read your talkpage)? Request reason:

Dear Admin users, I believe i should be unblocked from editing on wikipedia as i contribute to the profiles of football players and managers statistics up to date. In future i will remember to use the 4 tildes when needed and update the 'pcupdate' or 'ntupdate' everytime. If you were to review all my edits you'd find that it backs up what i'm saying. I'm still quite new to the whole process so i'm not even sure i've done this unblock appeal correctly. Once again i must stress that i would never vandalize any wiki pages, it's not in my intention. I realize that you were only warned about 30 times for making unsourced changes, but I agree with Ronhjones that too much time has been wasted cleaning up your edits. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:59, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock}}

  • I would like to offer you some advice on how to make it more likely that your unblock request will be unblocked. As can be seen here, two months ago you wrote "for no good reason my edits ALWAYS get reverted" and "i don't understand why my changes get reverted". Now, you say "i understand how my edits on wikipedia can been perceived as unnecessary". If you now do understand what you didn't understand before, then that is obviously good, and it is reasonable to consider unblocking you. However, the problem is that quite often editors who are blocked say "I understand what was wrong with my editing" in the hope that saying so will get them unblocked, when in fact they don't understand. For that reason, administrators tend to be reluctant to unblock just because a blocked editor says that they understand. The best thing for you to do now is to explain here what you think were the problems with your editing. If you do that, an administrator can actually see whether you really do understand or not. Also, "i understand how my edits on wikipedia can been perceived as unnecessary" could give the impression that you don't think there really was a problem, and it was all a misunderstanding by other editors. You are unlikely to be unblocked as long as that impression is there. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:42, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

following my latest unblock appeal i'd like to thank jamesBwatson for the advice you left on my talkpage. i do realise there was a few problems with my editing, firstly i didn't update the 'pc update' or 'nt update' on certain footballers profile pages...i also removed/erased few bits of details which at the time I felt didn't belong on the profile page, i then went on to revert the change made by the admin who reverted my change as i was adamant that this information was not needed on the page. Of course all blocked users will at 1 point use the term i understand where my mistakes lied and will not reepeat this. as it's the only real thing they can think of to be unblocked. but i also know all edits or changes made by a certain ip address are all monitored and recorded in the history section.

Request reason:

@ PhilKnight - you can update a pc field straight after a game has finished, depending on which player you're updating that player's pc may have not been updated in 2 weeks, 3 weeks, months etc so you have to add up the appearances and goals from the last time it was updated which shows as the last date. i would be an editer who would update immediately after a match has ended. Thedorigi (talk) 18:21, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is no deadline and being "first" to report a news or sports story is not really what Wikipedia is about. Sorry, I don't think you've really convinced me you truly understand why you were blocked in the first place. I don't think we're getting anywhere with this, so I'm turning your talk page access off, which means you need to contact the Unblock ticket request system to get unblocked.
