Hey, Powderoom, very nice revision of the Queen Min page. Keep at it; I'll do my best to support you. We have a group of revisers who are apparently working from Japanese history books who believe their version to be right, and I've been having an extended discussion with them. They may object to your revisions, but that's okay by me. Oh, and by the way, O could use your help on the Queen Yun page: Sunjeong of Korea --Dan 03:47, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Lalla83200511201534172.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lalla83200511201534172.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:06, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Please do not be discouraged by today's edit war over this article. Objectman has been punished for his disruptive behaviour with a temporary block, and a number of other editors have moved in to work on improving the article, using your incomplete rewrite as a base. Now that it is possible to work on it in peace, I hope you will return to write the remaining sections, so that Wikipedia can end up with a complete, accurate, and unbiased biography of this important figure in Korean history. — Haeleth Talk 21:20, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

please continue with the work on this article. i'm sure you know, you must be prepared for merciless editing, because that's the nature of wikipedia :-) as i mentioned in the talk pages, the important thing is to provide citations for each potentially controversial sentence, to withstand people like objectman. once you add the citations, i hope you agree that some of the background details more appropriately belong in other specific articles that desperately need well-referenced content. anyways, we can continue a calm, rational discussion once your citations are complete. thanks again for the hard work! Nice work with your recent edits, thepowderoom (hwajangsheel, right?)! I note your extensive remarks on the one and only photo. I've belonged to a Yahoo group that's been trying to figure out the authenticity of that photo for some time. I'm inclined to think it's her, because the counter-arguments I've seen are quite weak, having to do with posture and such. I've also recently come across a couple of other photos that are apparently from Japanese sources and are labelled as being "Min-bi". Perhaps it's Sunjong's first wife; I don't know, but in any event there's a heading on the Myeongeong discussion page on images - let's talk about it there. Comparisons with photos of descendants might be useful, too. --Dan 23:02, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
