Apologies[edit]

Timothymurphy (talk) 12:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC) hello alison i joined wikipedia yesterday and was clumsily experimenting with how things are done. i deleted a comma from the ireland article, and later went back to undo this but you had already got there. i just want to apologise for the bother to you. my contributions from now on will be constructive and have a point - best wishes Timothymurphy (talk) 12:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Timothy, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. While making test edits to articles is kinda frowned upon, something as trivial as yours is nothing to be concerned about. On the contrary, it's good that you're having a go and checking things out! Welcome to Wikipedia - it's good to have you on-board as an editor and if there's anything you need or you have any questions - just give me a shout! - Alison 19:54, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just replying to your message on my talk page. I wouldn't worry about the odd edit going awry; I managed to obliterate 80% of an article today by accident. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 23:20, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The winding stair[edit]

A tag has been placed on The winding stair requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page The Winding Stair do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/thewindingstair) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 13:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your question[edit]

I was going to reply here, but User:Ww2censor got a reply in as well back on my talk page so if you want to take a look at this? FlowerpotmaN·(t) 01:17, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kristina Urquhart?[edit]

Who is Kristina Urquhart? You added this name to the notable residents of Port Coquitlam, but there is virtually nothing on the internet about this person, nor even that they are from PoCo. Please cite the article, otherwise it will have to be removed. Greg Salter (talk) 22:20, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chichester[edit]

Hi Timothy I see that you have recently commented on the city's article. I though I should let you know that I am beginning a complete rewrite of the said article. It will take a while but you may well want to see it when I've done, and perhaps comment? Peter Shearan (talk) 16:05, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Stephen Fry on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. For reference, I have linked your edit here. Thank you! Kushal (talk) 14:19, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ideas[edit]

I came up with two ideas and Ww2censor came up with a suggestion in reply to your question on my user talk page, if you want to have a look. Cheers. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 19:15, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
