Copying from government sources[edit]

Hi. Your edits to the Vaping-associated pulmonary injury triggered the plagiarism detector because they were copied directly from your source. In this case, it wasn't actually a copyright violation, because you copied content from a US federal government site, which isn't subject to copyright, but when you do this, you still need to add an attribution templated, like the {{PD-notice}} template that QuackGuru added in this edit.

That said, it's almost always better to rewrite things in your own words. While this is not a copyright violation, it may still be seen as plagiarism. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:45, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
