ToasterCoaster, again welcome to the project. I hope you don't mind that I went behind you and made some "improvements" to your edit of this article, which is on my watchlist because I've worked on it quite a bit. I highly recommend that you read up on Wikipedia at the above links. Keep up the good work! It's so refreshing to come across a new editor who actually wants to improve the encyclopedia. Your recent edits[edit]
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button 
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:02, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your questions. It's okay, take a deep breath, and don't get so frustrated! ;) I suggest starting here and then going through the tutorial. It sounds like you're a little confused about the difference between a user page and a talk page, so I also suggest that you read those links. Oh, and please make sure that you sign all your posts.
BTW, I am a fs fan; I have never even skated, unless you count the time when I was ten and gave it up after falling twenty times. I love the sport, though--my beloved husband gave me tickets to the 2010 Nationals in Spokane, Washington for Christmas. (We live two hours away.) I also attended the 2007 Nationals, also in Spokane. Speedy deletion of Retainability[edit]
A tag has been placed on Retainability, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Retainability. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. More tipping points[edit]
Hey TC, I hope you don't mind that I went behind you and "improved" your edits. If I was being presumptuous, let me know, and I'll back off, man! How great it is that you've jumped in with both feet. Yes, this is addicting, isn't it?
Anyway, the edits I made to this article I made as if we were gonna bring it to featured article. Actually, while I brought it to the good article process, it was suggested that this happen, but I dropped it because I lost interest and found other projects. Some of the language I changed because I knew that it'd be changed in the FA nomination process, anyway. I also made some minor "format" changes; I suspect that you're unaware of them, so I thought that I'd bring them to your attention. For example, according to WP:MOS, periods in quotations should go on the outside of the quote.[1] Speaking of quotes, you should know that it's a good idea to avoid over-using quotations. That's why I deleted some I thought were unnecessary and repetitive, and why I summarized others. Finally, to continue my criticism, make sure that you always include an edit summary.
I'm very impressed with your commitment to this article. I think that with some expansion, this could eventually be a FA. You added some good content already. Gladwell is an important enough writer to warrant this kind of work for his articles. (His two subsequent books are on my long list of "books to read" list, along with about twenty others.) At any rate, I think that you have the potential to be a really good editor, someone who actually contributes to this project. If you decide to improve this article further, be assured that I'll help in any way that I can. I'm not *really* experienced in the FAC process, but I've done it twice, kinda stumbling around in the dark, especially with The Wiggles.
