Hi you may be new to wikipedia but you're good at historical research and should be able to make some valuable contributions. Only reason I reverted the original text from Philidor is because it no longer matched the reference that was linked to. The solution of course is to restore your text and make the reference point to the 1749 edition. Markup for <ref>...</ref> can be tricky, do you need any help with that?
