Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Tuyvan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

You might like some of these links and tips:

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing,-- JoanneB 19:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I deleted it because of the G7 tag and then saw your note on the talk page. It was deleted before: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernice Alvarez Brownson, but that in itself does not mean that the page should never be recreated. An issue that was brought up in that discussion was notability, if your able to show how and why this person is notable, recreation should not be a problem... --JoanneB 19:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hi, Tuyvan, and welcome to WikiProject
San Francisco Bay Area
!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles relevant to the Bay Area. Here are some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve Bay Area-related articles, so if people ask for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page. It is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, which you are welcome to participate.
  • Our system for improving lower-quality articles is Jumpaclass. If you'll be editing stub, start, or B-class articles, consider using Jumpaclass to track your progress.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign Bay Area topics.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

Again, welcome! We hope you enjoy working on this project.

Concerning Optical Coherence Tomography addition[edit]

I apologize for my submission with the link to Lantis. I am a dental researcher and new to Wikipedia. When I saw the other links of developiment companies listed I presumed it was ok to place that link even though no commercialization was in the written submission. No product or name of a company was in the article and with no intention of commercialization. I wanted to write about a very important application for dentistry. The original research comes out of the Univ. of California San Francisco. I will resubmit the article with the copyright of the image mentioning "my own work". This is original research undertaken during a clincal trial. I also intent to reference the revision. Please inform me if this will be ok prior to my resubmission. Thank you.--Gimbelaser (talk) 04:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

California Cougars leaving MISL[edit]

Hey I saw you reverted the edit to the MISL page earlier, and I wanted you to know I've reverted it back. Even though the MISL hasn't announced the Cougars leaving on their website, from this link here, the Cougars themselves have stated they are leaving the MISL to join the PASL-Pro league.

The deal is still tentative and not final. See the Stockton Record article referenced on the talk page. I don't see a problem with posting information that a change is pending, but don't make the change until it officially happens. At this moment in time the California Cougars are still officially in the MISL. Tuyvan (talk) 20:25, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
