Why do you continue to add information with an obvious pro Scientology slant without discussing with others beforehand as requested? Chrisp7 15:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. Nice work on tidying up that article :) - Alison 22:36, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • No problem! By the way - I notice you've blanked your userpage and that it had been vandalised in the past. Do you wish me to delete it for you to start afresh? - Alison 22:44, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 2 - UFC 66.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 2 - UFC 66.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. east.718 04:02, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Jackson KOs Liddell UFC71.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jackson KOs Liddell UFC71.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 07:01, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Crocop2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Crocop2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sancho 00:50, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Quinton Jackson (Big Bear Lake).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Quinton Jackson (Big Bear Lake).jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: UFC 73[edit]

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, I've removed your link since it was a copyvio. There's a much better MMA-exclusive tracker anyway, good luck on finding it! east.718 15:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rankings[edit]

Listing rankings from sites is inappropriate. You can't arbitrarily choose which site's rankings to use and you can't even use it as an authority. And with MMAWeekly's rankings it's basically 50/50 that people call it crap and people agree. It is an inappropriate link. Thesaddestday 21:53, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just find using something subjective and controversial like a specific website's rankings is a bit inappropriate. I know some people that write for MMA Weekly and I also know how they do their rankings and it's full of nuthuggery, inconsistency, and also ignorance. Don't get me wrong, Shogun is my favorite fighter and you'll be hard pressed to find good sources that won't call him #1. Thesaddestday 04:00, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
