The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar[edit]

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
I'm awarding you this RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar for your spotting of the vandal at the Old McDonald Had a Farm article. Good job! Wikidudeman (talk) 01:42, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. --UniQue tree 01:53, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have to admit that I was a bit worried you might be some advanced vandal when I saw the first thing you did was start working on your Javascript file and started importing scripts, I was watching your contributions to make sure, however luckily I was wrong. I'm not allowed to edit other users monobook files, for security reasons. Try pasting this into your monobook file, erasing everything else.

See if that works. That's directly from my monobook file. Wikidudeman (talk) 03:07, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, would you give me a little time to expand the articles I create before immediately deleting them? Thanks! Penguinwithaspear 19:55, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hiei[edit]

Here here. That WASN'T vandalism. Jaganshi Hiei isn't his name, it's just Hiei. Jaganshi is just his title, like how medieval rulers often had titles like "the brave" or "the cruel". But that doesn't make it part of their names, it's just there to describe their rulership, and Jaganshi is just their to describe his skill level. User:Artist Formerly Known As Whocares

The official YuYu Hakusho site uses Jaganshi Hiei. Since this is the case, Kurama (YuYu Hakusho) should be moved to Yoko Kurama for consistency. Lord Sesshomaru

Is it working now[edit]

Are your scripts working now? Wikidudeman (talk) 23:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No it isn't as you can see here. :-( :'( :'( -- uniQue tree →talk← 03:14, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean? What exactly are you trying to do? Wikidudeman (talk) 03:24, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm requesting speedy deletion with the csd button in the monobook. -- uniQue tree →talk← 03:25, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You could always take all of my stuff from my file. Simply copy all of my scripts from here User:Wikidudeman/monobook.js and paste them into your monobook file, be sure to erase everything there first. You'll need to set your computer screen resolution to higher than 800x600 though to see all of the new tabs. Wikidudeman (talk) 03:26, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thats not the problem. Requesting speedy deletion doesen't work. It doesen't work with your monobook either. I don't now why; i have tried with your monobook today too. -- uniQue tree →talk← 03:31, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure it does. Take a look. User:UniQue tree/test. Wikidudeman (talk) 03:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I saw your RfA, I had to move it to the top of the page, where new RfAs go... Do you know about WP:AIV? This is where you report vandals to be blocked by administrators. Grandmasterka 01:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for adminship[edit]

Hi UniQue tree, I'm sorry to inform you your request for adminship will be closed early because it was unlikely to succeed. For users to be granted admin status, they have to show that they are trusted members of the community. Individual editors each have their own standards for adminship candidates, but here are a few tips that may help you pass the next time round:

  • Wait a bit longer before your next request. Many Wikipedians think that the length of time that users should be active on the project to get a firm grasp of all the policies and guidelines is roughly 3 months.
  • Try to get some more edits. Administrators need to show they have a thorough understanding of policy, so it would be a good idea for you to contribute in wikipedia space, article space and talk space to show you can communicate with others.

You may wish to take a look at the admin coaching program, which would allow you to have your own coach who could personally direct you along the right path, or consider an editor review, allowing other users to comment on your edits and give you ways to improve. The guide to requests for adminship provides further considerations to make before applying again. Let me thank you for your contributions so far, and if you follow the above advice, there is no reason why you can not have a successful RfA in the future. Shalom Hello 01:15, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for adminship[edit]

I've closed your RFA early as it is unlikely to succeed. Feel free to try again after several months of editing. --Coredesat 01:46, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unique -

I am still confused why you put multiple last warnings on my IP talk page. What edits are you referring to that are vandalism under Wiki policy? Maybe they were fairly POV, but hardly vandalism. ----201.240.240.20

Thanks for the reverts[edit]

I tend to let things be, and figure people know I appreciate the assistance, but today's vandalism at my talk page got to be a bit above and beyond the norm. ;) Thanks for helping out! – Luna Santin (talk) 01:20, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Report to AIV[edit]

Since that user was oddly stalking you around and attacking you, I've blocked them. I most likely will not be online in 3 hours when the block expires, so if he doesn't get the hint, feel free to take it back to that board or another admin noticeboard. Thanks! AIV[edit]

Please do not request page protection at WP:AIV. To request protection, see WP:RFPP. AIV is for reporting vandals only, thanks --Lucid 04:11, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thank you for informing. -- uniQue tree →talk← 04:18, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AIV[edit]

Hey buddy, I noticed you've been reporting a bit at WP:AIV tonight. Just hoping a bit of advice can help you out though. It's usually (often) a bit easier for us admins to research and figure out what's going on with a reported vandal when there's more info than just "vandal" attached to the report. A brief description, or even a difference with a link is a lot more helpful. Just an idea :). Jmlk17 05:46, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks a lot for your advice :) -- uniQue tree →talk← 05:50, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anytime :). Jmlk17 06:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wiping {{unblock}} templates.[edit]

Please do not do this again, and especially do not act in the place of administrators. While this is occasionally ok (an established user WP:SNOWBALLing an AFD Keep, for example), you do not have nearly enough knowledge and experience, let alone trust, to be helping the administration like that. --Lucid 06:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thank you for that very polite advice. -- uniQue tree →talk← 06:05, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Hi UniQue tree, I know you are really diving into the vandal reporting side of Wikipedia in the week since you've joined, which is great, but I'd like to remind you of a few policies you may not be aware of, if you don't mind, and please do not take this as anything but constructive assistance, you've reverted a lot of vandalism and that's a great thing.

However, I'd encourage you to please watch the way you word edit summaries, when you revert. this in particular caught my eye.

Also, I'd encourage you to take a look at the template policies, there is a four-strike rule in general, so placing a level three, or four "only warning" is not appropriate unless you're an admin and can back that up. In addition, reporting to AIV should only happen after the user has received at least 3 warnings, and is continuing destructive behavior.

Introduction to user warnings would also be a great source of reference for you, as would Wikipedia:Protection policy.

I encourage you to continue the great work, but I'd caution you to be a little less zealous, and a bit more cautious in your actions. Utilize the things that are here for you, such as reviewing a person's contributions, prior to warning, to see if they are new, and simply don't understand Wikipedia, or to see if they have a long history of abuse, etc. Remember the core values: WP:AGF and WP:BITE. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, or give you any additional pointers should you want to learn more. Thanks for reading! ArielGold 06:10, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for all those great advices :) It's very nice you help me. :) I'll utilize all the advices. Greetings -- uniQue tree →talk← 06:18, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CSD you placed on Talk:Flipping Out[edit]

Dear UniQue tree, I removed the CSD you placed on Talk:Flipping_Out, as it is a genuine talk page for a show that is on Bravo TV, and should not have been placed there. Here's another link to help you know the exact criteria for CSD tags: WP:CSD. Be cautious with using those, as it is easy to not realize if something genuinely belongs, my advice would be that you not delve too deeply into CSD until you have a pretty firm handle on the policies and guidelines for Wikipedia as a whole. Cheers! ArielGold 06:55, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay. Anyway I'm really disappointed, because my monobook.js doesen't work. — uniQue tree →talk← 07:00, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My High School Musical edit labeled as "vandalism"[edit]

Sir, the reason why I reverted to that version of the High School Musical, because it contained some gibberish at the top. I did not edit the actual article. I'm sorry if it appeared as vandalism, but it was the last stable edit. --Pleasehelp 17:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you don't mean this serious. I'm fighting against vandalism and doing a lot of rollbacks. If there is a mistake in one of them it's really sad, but frankly it doesen't legitimate such a unpolite warning of my talk page. — uniQue tree →talk← 19:53, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on "Editing Ann Martin (journalist)"[edit]

Hello and thank you for notifying me of your awareness of my recent activity regarding this article. A quick check of the article's history shows that the deletions I have made were of my own earlier contributions! After a second (and third) thought I felt that others better able than me to document the subject's facts should expand the article if they should choose to do so. This, I thought, was the most constructive path to take.

Comment on "Warning for Vandalism"[edit]

Hi, I got a warning from you about vandalising a page. My friend was at my place, and wrote that I suck or something on a wikipedia page, so I immediately edited it out. It doesn't seem fair that I should receive a warning for this, considering I didn't do it and corrected it. Thank you.

Ban...[edit]

I reckon this probably counts as User_talk:123.100.119.61's last piece of vandalism... unless I've missed something and they're already blocked! Electriceel [ə.lɛk.tʃɹɪk il] 00:32, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
