Friendly reminder[edit]

Just to let you know that the article Value Driven Transcendence (whose only content was "This page is currently under construction") should have been tagged with {{db-a3}} (no content) rather than {{db-g2}} (test pages). Cheers, Waldir talk 07:52, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah OK, still learning some stuff but thanks anyway :). UnknownThing (talk) 08:50, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you're going to do New Page Patrol (which is a good and useful thing to do) it's worth reading WP:CSD carefully; also, there is good advice from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 09:45, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know that I removed your speedy deletion template from this page since you marked it as A7 (no assertion of notability), but the article claims that the company is the "leading cable provider" in a large region, so there is an assertion of notability. I would recommend taking this to AfD if you feel that it does not meet wikipedia's notability requirements. Another idea is to mark it for speedy deletion under G11 as an advertisement, as at best it does not comply with WP:Neutrality. Thanks. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 19:25, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I took a better look at the article and marked it for speedy deletion as an advertisement (under G11). Thanks for patrolling this new page, but please be careful to make sure that the page meets the CSD under which you are nominating it in future, as nominating an article under an incorrect criterion may result in the page being kept, and nominating an article inappropriately may be misinterpreted as an attack by the creator of the article. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 19:31, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for correcting me :). I proberbly tagged it wrong due to there being no references. UnknownThing (talk) 19:37, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not vandalism?[edit]

Hello. Why did you revert my report at the vandal page? This edit is vandalism if you look at what's happening. Mister Flash (talk) 21:12, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The user who reverted you at first is an admin so I just went by what he thought. I don't know much about who you reported so I do apologise if I have made a mistake but as I'm new here, I just followed the leader. UnknownThing (talk) 21:17, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I've asked the admin to look at it again. Thanks. Mister Flash (talk) 21:19, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
After reading that edit, I think that I am in favor of your opinion as I looked at BJ's user pages too and they didn't look pretty. I apologise for my mistake. UnknownThing (talk) 21:20, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Plus his bad faith edits in trying to eliminate the British Isles from Wikipedia. UnknownThing (talk) 21:27, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to tie things up; as the involved admin on Enceladus I have now made my comments to the other involved editors and will take no further part in the discussion. I do not comment, and have not commented, on British Isles.--Anthony.bradbury"talk" 21:34, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some friendly advice[edit]

Hi, notice you have been doing some editing on some West Ham players' articles and thought I would offer a helpful tip as someone who was once fell into these Wiki traps. Wiki has 'rules' re notabiltiy and Olly Lee as the mo fails these as he has not played in a fully pro league - sooner or later someone will spot this article and delete it. Personally I don't agree with it and believe that if you have a squad number in a pro side you could have a Wiki article - but I don't decide. Anyway you might like to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(sports)#Football_.28soccer.29. Also the image you introduced will get deleted as you do not have permission to use it. Again Wiki has even more strict rules for images so as to not violate copyright. So unless you have a photo of your own or have permission to use one please don't use it. Hopefully this will help and you will not waste your effort on articles only to see them deleted as I once did many years ago!!!--Egghead06 (talk) 10:23, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah OK then. Hopefully in the future, the article will have a chance to stay as he may appear next season, now he is a regular. Thanks for the heads up :). UnknownThing (talk) 10:28, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm User:Jake Calum. See User talk:Jake Calum for details. Maybe we are just on the same IP range. UnknownThing (talk) 20:45, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Georgie, I suggest that you e-mail MuZemike. This is a checkuser block, and it is unlikely that you will find an ordinary admin prepared to unblock. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 22:19, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
