Hello VX1NG, I reverted your changes to the S-car and the insertion at Pontiac Vibe, but now I'm not so sure anymore. GM referred to the '83 Cultus as the S-car (I have tons of period sources), but I cannot find any references for the NUMMI cars. But I also realize that S platform may not be the same as S-car, and at least the 2nd and 3rd gen Cultus/Metro etc. were built on what they called the "M platform. I'm a bit confused as to what's what, and some also refer to the original Opel Corsa (not related to the Suzuki although of similar size) as having been the S-platform. Anyhow, this all seems rather messy and I have a hard time finding references. Let's converse here.  Mr.choppers | ✎  16:29, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr. choppers, after delving deeper into this. I am thoroughly confused. I am finding that some references that have GM using other manufacturers platform names for imports and other times they have their own designation. So, for now I am going to leave GM S platform and Pontiac Vibe as you have them. Until, I can find some better sources to clear up this confusion. I have a feeling what's happening is people are confusion the VIN letter for platform codes. It is to my understanding that technically, the 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood didn't not have a true successor; the 1994-1999 Cadillac De Ville served as a defacto successor. Regards, VX1NG (talk) 03:22, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Chapman and the Jag IRS[edit]

Your addition raises an interesting question. Chapman developed the Lotus 18 during the period that Jaguar were already working on their as-yet unreleased IRS. Did Chapman know of it? He was never slow to borrow ideas from elsewhere. Was there any Jag influence taken from the earlier Chapman strut and its structural use of the driveshaft? Most likely (unless more comments come in) this will close as Not Moved, because it's unclear what is really going on. There isn't enough evidence that the new title is more apt than the original. Maybe if your original move proposal had spelled out the details (instead of just citing some large documents) people would grasp the rationale. You may still be able to add comments there. Help settling a argument[edit]

Hello, I would like to know if you'll help me settle a agrument with user GG360 and two other ip addresses which I'm shure are the users. The user as well as the ip addresses keeps adding redirection links to the same template that is just what the model is called in another country. I belive that unless that there's a article about what the vehicle is called in another country, its unexceptable. I've constantly been having to revert them as they aren't acceptable and just bloating and cluttering the template with unessessary redirects. But this or these users don't seem to understand. Nissan/Datsun US/Canada model timeline.. not sure how to add info![edit]

Hi VX1NG! I noticed you have the most experience previously editing/formatting the Nissan/Datsun US/Canada model timeline table and am contacting you because I need your help adding a model that has been omitted. The Datsun F-10 (Nissan Cherry F10) was sold in the US (and I believe Canada) from 1976-1978 before the 310 (Nissan Cherry N10) arrived in 1979. Somehow the F-10 was omitted from the chart! I think global templates are only appropriate in a few cases where the car range is substantially different. For example, Toyota USA has many locally-developed models. Even then I think a single global template would also be satisfactory. OSX (talkcontributions) 03:21, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
