Image copyright problem with Image:Istarskiipsilon.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Istarskiipsilon.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see User talk:Carnildo/images. 19:48, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:2005 Skoda Octavia.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:2005 Skoda Octavia.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 22:28, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution to this article. Only thing, Charles Aznavour was on The Muppet Show, not Sesame Street. -- Zanimum 18:45, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zanimum,
yes, you were right about Charles Aznavour not being on Sesame street, I totally messed up on that one, haha. Thank you!

Unspecified source for Image:AZNAVOUR.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AZNAVOUR.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jkelly 19:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you take that picture? How? Why doesn't it have any metadata? Please answer at Image talk:AZNAVOUR.JPG.--81.36.152.38 23:03, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I tagged that image as invalid fair use per Wikipedia:Fair_use#Counterexamples example 8. May be you will be able to justify fair use for Charles Aznavour article but it can't be used on any other articles.--Pethr 04:53, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was thinking of the final high note in his performance of the song "Thunderball" when I made that edit. That note is well beyond the range of most baritones. Graham87 04:28, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes - Thanks for the message. I thought if someone who came to the page who perhaps didn't listen to Mario and saw a picture like that they might not take him seriously, but at least with the Otello picture that won't happen! It really was a stupid picture.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Innerst i sjelen.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Can I ask you: is she is soprano or a mezzo? The article says both. What range does she actually sing? Thanks. --Kleinzach (talk) 06:18, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Maybe you would like to put her in a specific cat? At the moment only oddments are in the top Category:Sopranos. Perhaps she should be in 'pop sopranos' or something like that? --Kleinzach (talk) 02:27, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sissel My Heart.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Sissel My Heart.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Replaceable fair use Image:Sissel promo.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Sissel promo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Aspects (talk) 01:49, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pozdrav[edit]

Budući da sam vidio da si nešto dodavao na Zagreb tram system, zamolio bih te za komentar.

Naime napravio sam predložak [1], dok LAz17 i DIREKTOR uporno redirectaju na {{Urban Rail transportation in the former Yugoslavia}}, iako to uopće nije ista vrsta predloška.

Hvala--Ex13 (talk) 17:45, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Sissel My Heart.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Sissel My Heart.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Hi OettingerCroat,

as you mentioned last summer in your inquiry in above mentioned user talk I wanted to ask you whether ever you heard anything from Reinim19? For the coming up season 2012/13 two new teams will participate in the EBEL: HC Innsbruck and EC Dornbirn (both from Austria). And I was wondering as you, if Croatia and Czech Republic could be in the same color as the remaining.

Due to the fact that I'm working on the German Wiki, you can also leave messages on my discussion page: Elmar78

January 2013[edit]

In a recent edit to the page Dihydrogen monoxide hoax, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Specifically, please see MOS:RETAIN --hulmem (talk) 22:44, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Croatian help needed![edit]

Hello OettingerCroat, I'm contacting you because we need some Croatian translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on hr.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Croatian Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 23:09, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alan Letang, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Croatian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Replaceable fair use File:Sissel Aznavour.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sissel Aznavour.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy.
