Referencing[edit]

Hi, when adding inline citations, a punctuation mark comes directly before the citation, not afterwards – like this.[1] Also, there should be no spaces between a punctuation mark and citation. Regards JACKINTHEBOXTALK 04:38, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia, Good morning, I would like to understand why the page of alessio bidoli is signaled with a biolancia where there is some suspicion of lack of neutrality in the speech. If you can give me some instructions on how to change it? I believe, from my point of view that the page is well written and the news reported correctly. Thank you very much for helping Kind regards Violinologo54 (talk) 09:12, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the tag at the top of the article is due to the suspicion that you (an editor who has heavily edited the Alessio Bidoli article) seem to have a close connection with the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and answer Doc James's question above. Regards, JACKINTHEBOXTALK 13:55, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Answer[edit]

@JackintheBox: Dear Wikipedia, Thank you! I'm just a fan of Alessio Bidoli. In the case, however, how would I change to improve the text and remove that written? The text seems to me to have been written correctly, isn't it?

Kind regards

Violinologo54 (talk) 17:22, 12 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion the article is currently written alright and it seems to follow WP:NPOV. The template on the top of the article was only added because you appear to have a close connection with the subject, and I quote 'It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies'. However the article looks fine to me. JACKINTHEBOXTALK 03:15, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@JackintheBox: Dear Wikipedia, OK thanks but then what are the steps to remove the one written with the scale. Can't you please do it? if everything is in oedine why do you leave it?

Kind regards

Violinologo54 (talk) 20:24, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The template was not added by me; it was added by User:Doc James in November 2018. Everything is in order but since you are the main contributor to the article and likely have a close connection with the subject, the template was added. I believe the template can only be removed if you can prove you do not have close connection with the subject or if you are no longer the main contributor to the article. Regards JACKINTHEBOXTALK 03:11, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Doc James:

Dear Doc james, I would like to know how to delete the template opened on the Alessio Bidoli page where a conflict is reported. The page appears to be written correctly. Can you tell me about any improvements? I would like to delete the box where you talk about the conflict. Do you give me some advice? Kind regards

Violinologo54 (talk) 07:47, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have not disclosed your connection with the subject yet. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 15:47, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As a major recent contributor to the article, you should not remove templates. If you are only a fan of Alessio Bidoli, meaning no personal contact or correspondence between you two, you should state as such on your User page. MY own opinion is that all of the refs are just URLs rather than properly formated, and from looking at a few after translation into English, are not articles at length ABOUT Mr. Bidoli. References to the existence of his work do not convey notability. David notMD (talk) 19:14, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Content you added was deleted, not because it was not true, but because you provided no citations in support of the stated facts. This is very important for biographical articles about living people. David notMD (talk) 20:09, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@David notMD: As you asked me, I declared what you wanted. Now can you remove the template with the conflict's text? SincerelyViolinologo54 (talk) 20:00, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@JackintheBox: You restored the tag at the top of the article. Since then, User:Violinologo54 has declared no COI on User page, and both I and Doc James have deleted content from the article that was inappropriate or not referenced. Please consider removing the tag. David notMD (talk) 20:28, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@David notMD: I have removed the tag given Violinologo54's declaration. I had forgotten I re-added the template myself. JACKINTHEBOXTALK 00:47, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Have restored the tag. How do you know his date of birth? This page reads like an advert unfortunately. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:54, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the date of birth was taken from Wikipedia Italy simply. But why do you see the links as a conflict? It's all in order taken from websites where the artist appears regularly ... could you give me more information? Thanks Sincerely Violinologo54 (talk) 09:18, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes and how did Italian Wikipedia get his date of birth?
Are you stating that you have never meet him and are just a fan? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:04, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
