Sorry, but I am not interested in editing the subject you asked me about or anything related to US politics. My very best wishes (talk) 21:29, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Our Nixon?

Hi there - Long time, no talk - I was just watching the documentary "Our Nixon", and I saw your name (or someone with your same name) credited as an associate producer. Was that you? If so, very interesting and creative documentary! KConWiki (talk) 22:28, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

Howdy, KConWiki! That is me, in fact. I stumbled across it on Kickstarter almost four years ago now, took a chance, and I'm glad I did—it was a great experience. Plus, I sat in front of Barbara Walters at the US premiere at the Lincoln Center in NYC. WWB Too (Talk · COI) 13:44, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

SBD

Hi WWB,

Per my comment, I'm planning to write up a response at SBD. However, it occurred to me that you might think addressing the term "fad diet" is more important, and that's not something I'm really interested in. Are you planning to take this to another forum? If so, I'll wait for that first. (Also please let me know if you don't think continued discussion would be productive, of course.) Sunrise (talk) 08:17, 17 March 2015 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Summit Series (conference), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed amendment to WP:ADMIN regarding paid editing

You recently commented on a brainstorm that discussed banning administrators from paid editing. A concrete proposal to amend the administrator policy to this effect has been made at Wikipedia talk:Administrators#Proposed change - 'No paid editing" for admins. Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks for uploading File:Winton-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Huon (talk) 18:53, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Assistance Publishing

Hi WWB Too,

Do you ever assist with the publication of articles? I have produced neutral well sourced copy but have only joined Wikipedia recently and converting this to a published wiki page is proving difficult.

If provided with copy would you be prepared to create a page?

Any help or guidance would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks, Scorb1 (talk) 09:42, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

@Scorb1: In most cases, you can create a new entry just as soon as your account is autoconfirmed, which I believe you are. If it's an article about a company you work with (or similar COI situation, I'd recommend submitting it to Articles for Creation (WP:AFC). What is the content you're looking to publish? Happy to offer any further advice if I can. WWB Too (Talk · COI) 13:32, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
@WWB Too:Thanks for the response. There is a COI and I am aware of the policy and want to adhere to this fully but am concerned that during the Articles for Creation process this may become an issue and cause deletion. What would be your thoughts on avoiding this?

Scorb1 (talk) 17:33, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

@Scorb1: My best advice for preparing a draft: write conservatively, stick close to well-recognized news sources, and, where there seems to be a conflict between Wikipedia's guidelines and the organization's desire to include something, defer to the site guidelines. Give reviewers no reason to object to the new article for any legitimate reason. When going to AfC, acknowledge your COI forthrightly. The declaration will put more scrutiny on your draft, yes, but if the proposed article is neutral, encyclopedic and cited to reliable sources, it should be approved. This has been my experience. Best of luck, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 18:48, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

Help with C-SPAN naming conventions?

Hi there - Long time no talk. One of the things that I have been working on sporadically for a while is adding the {{C-SPAN|Person's name here}} template to numerous external links sections. There are some situations, however, where either a) the person's name is spelled incorrectly on the C-SPAN site, and thus linked to videos incorrectly, or b) duplicated so that one person's video appearances are scattered across two or more searches. I am pasting in the list below, and if you happen to know someone who could review and correct them, I could add those finalized templates. Thanks KConWiki (talk) 04:09, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Nice to hear from you, KConWiki! I think I can help, at least as far as alerting someone at C-SPAN about this. I'll send a note right away, and I will let you know what I hear back when I do. Best, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 14:12, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Much appreciated - If it does not hit the top of anyone's to-do list, then no big deal, but it would help them improve their data and also of course help us improve the given WP articles. Thanks KConWiki (talk) 03:21, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
Apologies for my own delayed reply here, KConWiki. So yeah, they're busy with the conventions right now, but they agreed in principle it was worth doing, and I have a plan to follow up with them afterward on other matters as well. Stay tuned! WWB Too (Talk · COI) 18:13, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
That's great, thanks - While you/they are at it, here are a few more:

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, WWB Too. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

RfC on "No paid editing for Admins" at WT:COI

I've relisted an RfC that was run at WT:Admin in Sept. 2015. It is at Wikipedia talk:Conflict of interest#Concrete proposal 3 as there are a number of similar proposals going on at the same place. Better to keep them together. Smallbones(smalltalk) 04:46, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Heads up

William, I feel that I should bring up Inlinetext's issue with your firm at WP:COIN for project's awareness. This is a courtesy message as I'd rather not have you blindsided by it. - Bri (talk) 19:12, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, Bri. I'm aware of this discussion at AN/I, and I responded there previously. I didn't see anything at COIN—is it possible I missed something that has been archived already? WWB Too (Talk · COI) 21:11, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
No, I was waiting for your reply so it didn't come as a surprise. See WP:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Inlinetext and admin/checkuser corruption. - Bri (talk) 21:13, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Aha, now I see. Well, it's certainly within COIN's purview, and I appreciate you checking in with me. I'm honestly not all that concerned about it. I haven't done anything wrong, and Inlinetext seems to be having trouble getting along with other editors, which has nothing to do with me. I don't have any plans to comment on the new thread at this time. Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 21:27, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
That's totally fine. I just thought that the possibility of such a serious issue should be brought up with the community. - Bri (talk) 21:49, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

I thought your edit on Robert A. Mandell looked fine. It seemed neutral to me and it seems like there isn't really a conflict of interest as long as you're just expanding the article. However, I'm not an editor so I don't think I can be of much help. Jgefd (talk) 23:55, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for giving my draft a look, Jgefd. Because I am making the edit request on behalf of Mr. Mandell in a professional capacity, I feel my editing activity is subject to COI. As such, I will not edit the article directly and instead seek others' input and assistance in making the changes if they are reasonable. If this is something you might be able to assist with, let me know, and I'd be happy to work with you. Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 14:42, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

WikiProject Investment

Hey there! Im currently rebuilding the WikiProject Investment.

I already am pretty much finished with updating the project page.Take a look at it. Ping me if you want to help! Thanks. WikiEditCrunch (talk) 10:26, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

Nice work, WikiEditCrunch! I don't have anything to add at this time, but I'm always glad to see wikiprojects getting fresh life breathed into them. :) WWB Too (Talk · COI) 09:28, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! WikiEditCrunch (talk) 09:39, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
