ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:44, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deadly tornadoes project[edit]

Hey WeatherFollower! Myself along with several other editors are working on an ambitious project: A list of every deadly tornado.

Since it is a large project, I am just letting others with an interest in meteorology know about it.

You are more than welcome to help out if you wish to. The project can be found here: User:WeatherWriter/List of deadly tornadoes. If you have questions about it, feel free to ask me. Cheers and have a wonderful day! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 20:01, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the invitation. I'm currently busy perfecting the 2023-24 European Windstorm Season. However, when I get more time I'll be honoured to help out. WeatherFollower (talk) 22:28, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Quick head's up about TWC winter names[edit]

Hey WeatherFollower, on your userpage, I see you are creating a winter-style article for TWC names. Well, we currently have 2023–24 North American winter to supplement that. Per a more or less consensus, the TWC names aren't used as section headers since they are unofficial names and NOAA has criticized the TWC use of them. However, per a consensus, we still include them in the sections/information about each winter storm in the North American winter articles. I wanted to let you know since we do already have a winter-season article made, up and running. Cheers! (Here is last year's article as how the layouts typically go: 2022–23 North American winter. Thank you for your understanding. I'm pursuing this project purely as a hobby, aiming to combine European windstorms and TWC winter storms – a unique endeavour that hasn't been explored before. Recognizing that US storms phenomena are unofficially named, similar to how organizations like JTWC handle tropical cyclones, I see this as an opportunity to enhance my writing and coding skills. My goal is not only personal growth but also to cater to the curiosity of individuals like myself who are eager to witness such an amalgamation. Your guidance is invaluable, and I appreciate it greatly. Many thanks. WeatherFollower (talk) 12:34, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 7[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023–24 European windstorm season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aldergrove.
