{{helpme}} Thank you for helping with my first posting. I wrote this posting about a place folks from Europe, especially Germany, would ask me about...so I attempted this Wikipedia entry. I thought it would come up under the search: Filomena Ristorante. But it only appears when I search for: User:Wikimiami. What did I do incorrectly and how do I change it so it does come up under Filomena Ristorante? Do I have to wait four days and then attempt to redirect?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,

Hello,

I am trying to download one of "my" images. I opened my account more than four days ago and have made over 15 edits on my posting. Yet the system will not accept me as an Autoconfirmed User so that I can proceed to download an image. What am I doing wrong?\

Thanks for your help.

I only see 9 edits in your history. You need 10. GtstrickyTalk or C 16:27, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for Image:Filomena exterior -2s.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Filomena exterior -2s.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

License tagging for Image:Clinton_and_Kohl_dining.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Clinton_and_Kohl_dining.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:17, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Pasta Ingredients.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Pasta Ingredients.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Radiant chains (talk) 01:16, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image permission problem with Image:Clinton_and_Kohl_dining.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Clinton_and_Kohl_dining.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. PhilKnight (talk) 22:51, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images on Filomena Ristorante[edit]

Talk:Filomena Ristorante

I just recently lost an image "Pasta Ingredients.jpg" because of a copyright issue although I added {{PD-self}}.

Now I seem to have a caption issue with image "Clinton and Kohl dining.jpg" as it warns of {{deletable image-caption}}. This is a photo of a photo which I took with permission of the owner and the individuals in the photo are public figures (directly or by association.) Therefore, can someone please tell me what I did wrong with both and how I can correct the problem.

Thank you.

Hi -- with both photographs, once you've added an appropriate license, you should only have to remove the license warning and everything should be fine. On Image:Clinton and Kohl dining.jpg, just make sure to add a note that you are the person who took the picture. There seems to be some confusion on that front (another editor thinks that it was taken by a State Department official).
Also, it looks like Image:Pasta Ingredients.jpg has not been deleted, just removed from the article. If you fix the license on that image as well, there should be no problem with adding it to the article. Tim Pierce (talk) 19:19, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not clear - did you take the original photo or did you just take a photographic copy of someone else's photo? Pseudomonas(talk) 19:28, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. On the first picture (ingredients) I did add {{PD-self}} and it was still removed. The second was shot by the White House and given to the restaurant owner - Mr. Filomena - for her use. She gave me permission to take a picture of the picture given to her by the White House. Thanks for getting back to me. Wikimiami

Hi.
  • Image:Pasta Ingredients.jpg was removed from the article by a bot, an automated program, because at the time the licence was not valid. It now looks OK, so just add it to the article again.
  • Image:Clinton and Kohl dining.jpg cannot be used on Wikipedia, and should be deleted. The restaurant owner does not own copyright on the original picture, and cannot give permission for its use. We would require a copyright release from whomever took the original. For example, if I took a photograph of a copyright image on the front on a newspaper, I could not then claim that I owned copyright on the picture. I hope that this is clear, best regards,  Chzz  ►  19:59, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll remove the WH photo.
