Bismarck[edit]

It is you who initiated the edit-war my friend. And I have replied to your comment, but you apparently have no interest in discussing. You have been around far too long to not know better. Parsecboy (talk) 16:43, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And since you can't be bothered to watch edits to talk pages where you comment, I will spell it out for you here. Your edit is factually wrong. Tirpitz was the largest battleship every built by a European power, and the only advantage Vanguard has in any metric is at design displacement. So what you're saying directly contradicts what reliable sources say and is, as I said, flat wrong. Parsecboy (talk) 16:46, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Simply not so. Vanguard was 21' longer and 2,800 tons greater standard displacement/1,120 tons greater full load displacement They both mounted 8 15" guns as main batteries. The only (and least relevant in such "who's bigger" comparisons) dimension Bismarck was larger was in beam, by 10', 118' to 110'.

In a contest of which is wider indeed Bismarck would win. And only in one. Yours, Wikiuser100 (talk) 22:12, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
