GA nominations

Just as a head's up, two of your nominations (Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow) have small banners requesting expansion of certain sections. Both of these are technically a quick-fail criteria. While I'm normally eager to weed out quick-fails, it's obvious that otherwise both of these articles meet the GA criteria. I would strongly suggest removing these if you want a full, detailed review. Regards, VanTucky talk 00:49, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

The suit was visibly green in the Hoover Dam shot. The original VHS tape is the source for that fact, and is verifiable by anyone with access to the original VHS tape. The color problems were fixed through digitization in the DVD, along with the various other stuff they did on the DVD, such as changing the sound effects in the opening credits. FYI, it wasn't just me. I recall watching it in the theater, and hearing some guy in the audience saying, "Hey, his suit's green, man." That comment by itself is not a valid source. But the film is. The Iron Man - further reading

I think the further reading section in that article was very useful. I didn't know that Ted Hughes wrote a sequel. The relevance is that it provides an alternate avenue to research the story. Would you put that back? Stellar (talk) 07:58, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Batmanreturnscast.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Batmanreturnscast.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:54, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Don't edit out the "Gadgets and Vehicles Used" sections on the Batman films articles

There' not supposed to be apart of the critical receptions (which I've noticed in your edit summaries). I can't believe you weren't able to seperate or disguish the information. Technically, they're closer in spirit to the production and/or plot (on a much broader scale) sections. TMC1982 10:54 p.m., 23 January 2008 (UTC)

"Non important" information

How exactly isn't this important information? Just because you're seemingly too lazy to read the additional production and plot details/production design, doesn't necessarily mean it's automatically junk. TMC1982 11:55 p.m., 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Mask of the Phantasm

Star Trek: The Motion Picture does not link TOS in its infobox, so I would likely assume you'd only have to link Sub-Zero in the Batman film's infobox. Alientraveller (talk) 08:22, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Superman film series revision

Just curious, how much are you mining from the actual article? Alientraveller (talk) 17:21, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I see. I was just curious: a lot of fans will look to this page for info on those failed projects, and one thing I was hoping you'd get across in your revision was that J.J. Abrams dropped the Death/Kryptonian Luthor angles from his later drafts. Alientraveller (talk) 18:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Also, a lot of your user subpages are still online. When you're finished, you should attach {{db-user}} to delete them. Keep up the good work. Alientraveller (talk) 18:54, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

superman movie series

okay, I'll give you that mentioning Evening with Kevin Smith isn't very important for the article, but if you watch the video clip of his telling the story, you can tell the majority of it is not out-of-thin-air jokes just for a laugh.

Not to mention, nearly everything (aside from a few profanities) that would be construed as a simple "joke" is mentioned, repeated and quoted in the article itself with references to other interviews in which Smith said nearly the same things.

I refer you to references 11, 12, 13. Reference 11 in particular quotes Smith in interview stating almost verbatim a great deal of the story recounted in the DVD, and with greater detail.

It wasn't just jokes.

(on a side note, if you wish to reply, you can do it here so as to keep the full discussion in one place. I will check back here at your page for a response) --JohnDoe0007 (talk) 05:12, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I don't blame your actions. It was quite a hilarious clip to watch. In fact, An Evening With Kevin Smith was indeed sourced when I first started on that article, but then other (more professional) editors felt it shouldn't be used. Also, yes, the Mania Movies articles are almost identical. There's new info on An Evening (liked Jon Peters wanting to cast Sean Penn as Superman). Maybe we can add it in the External links section. Wildroot (talk) 23:20, 20 February 2008, (UTC)

That sounds like a good idea. That was a main part of the reason I added the reference and link in the first place: because I felt that had I not known so much of the story beforehand, and not seen the clip of Smith telling the story himself, I don't think I would have gotten the same experience reading the article. Perhaps more importantly, I feel it lends credence to the story itself hearing it from Smith's own mouth, as much of it does sound so outlandish.

I'd really like to find an appropriate place to link to that clip (and make sure those reading that section of the article will easily find it), as I feel anyone reading the article would definitely be interested in and benefit from seeing it. --JohnDoe0007 (talk) 06:55, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

This is only a test

Thank you. Wildroot (Talk) 18:45, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I have placed your nomination of American Graffiti on hold. You can see my comments here. Cheers, Kakofonous (talk) 22:58, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

It's now listed as a good article, but still could use some copy editing for clarity. I'll try to get around to it at some point. Nice work. Kakofonous (talk) 23:40, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about the stuff on the talk page I forgot to do…always forget something. Kakofonous (talk) 00:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

You sending me messages about Batman's gadgets

Since when did I ask for you're approval about this specific subject? I was looking into my user page, and I saw you virtually lambast me out of nowhere over something you for some reason find "humorous" (like you can do a better job on subjects like this). Whatever happened to "constructive criticism", if that's what you're ultimately aiming for? Instead, you rather speak to me in an awfully condescending manner. TMC1982 (talk) 11:08 a.m., 28 February 2008 (UTC)

I first noticed the message today (since it wasn't in my talk page). TMC1982 (talk) 2:01 p.m., 28 February 2008 (UTC)

X-Men

If there's anything you want to contribute to Singer's X3, add it to X-Men (film series). Do you have X2 on DVD? Alientraveller (talk) 22:07, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I see you do have the DVD! Very good work, X2 is my favourite superhero film after Batman Begins! I can't believe it's been almost five years since it was out. Alientraveller (talk) 19:03, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
One of the things that'll have to be taken care of is the mutant files section. You could take a leaf out of The Simpsons Movie and source all the references to the comics via the commentaries. It'll look much better. Alientraveller (talk) 19:22, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

The Truman Show

Wouldn't it be easier to just cite the two-part DVD documentary as one? Alientraveller (talk) 11:51, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

The themes section is incomplete. Are you going to continue or would you like me to finish it off? Alientraveller (talk) 09:55, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh I find themes sections such a chore, but you set a pattern of just having a paragraph to each opinion, which is an easy way out. Alientraveller (talk) 10:10, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Future articles

Feel free to sandbox any group of headlines from my subpages! I tend to avoid article creation because I didn't want to tend to film adaptation sections of the source materials' articles. I prefer working on stand-alone film articles, as they're more definite at that point. Nice work on the sandboxing so far -- hope the films like Thor can come through! —Erik (talkcontrib) - 21:01, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Much thanks!

Thank you for your vote of confidence for me as a coordinator at WikiProject Films! I have to admit, we probably got off to a bad start when I contested your attempted Good Articles, but I realize now how well you contribute to film articles! Keep up your prolific contributions! :) —Erik (talkcontrib) - 14:30, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
