Princes Patrick Ali and Gholam Reza Pahlavi[edit]

Hi, Prince Patrick Ali Pahlavi does not use the name Islami perhaps he did at one point but not anymore and it certailny is not his common name. Also Prince Gholam Reza Pahlavi, and all half siblings of the late Shah can not be heir to the throne as they are descended from the Qajar dynaty through their mothers and are thus exclused from the succession. See the Shah's own words:

"Under the Persian Constitution the crown must pass by direct line of descent to a male heir. This rules out not only my daughter but also my three sisters. The Constitution further stipulates that no one descended from the previous Qajar dynasty is eligible to become king. Since two of my father’s wives were of Qajar blood, my half-brothers who are their sons are ineligible. In fact I had only one brother not related to the Qajar line, and to my sorrow he was to die in an aeroplane crash in 1954. With these limitations it is no wonder that my advisors felt it important for my wife to bear a son." - The rise and fall of the Pahlavi dynasty. p. 446.

The only Pahlavi's not descended from the Qajar dynasty are Prince Patrick Ali and his sons as descendants of the Shah's own full brother. - dwc lr (talk) 14:45, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Patrick Ali Pahlavi[edit]

Please stop unilaterally imposing your views on this article. If you want to make significant changes please discuss them on the article talk page, talk:Patrick Ali Pahlavi.   Will Beback  talk  23:12, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am stating the facts. Not imposing my views. You don't seem to know much about the Iranian history. This guy is not a member of the pahlavi family. Has been expelled from the royal court in 1974 after taking up arms against the royal family. His father's marriage was not recognized by the court either. Any one can claim royalty, It won't make them so.

I've replied at Talk:Patrick Ali Pahlavi.   Will Beback  talk  23:34, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
