California University of Pennsylvania images[edit]

I have been working on updating the required fair use rationale used on Education related pages. I have run into a problem with the two images you upload for use on California University of Pennsylvania. The issues relate around the source and portion used For Image:LogoRED.jpg the only image I found on the referenced web site was http://www.cup.edu/images/ICR_tag.gif. If that was the image that was used then it needs to referenced as having been cropped. For Image:CUP.jpg I have been unable to find any logo that looks like this one. Cut-and-paste move: Concordia University Television[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of CUTV and pasted it into Concordia University Television. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary[edit]

Hi! Since you're listed as a Wikipedian in Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Images and provenance[edit]

When you uploaded file:Adamson.JPG in 2007, you said:

"Okay, I downloaded this picture from Flickr awhile ago, and I'm 98% sure it was GFDL. I'll go look it up if someone actually finds this picture and threatens to delete it, which I'm sure some lousy bot will. Anywho, I cropped it down to just the stadium."

Now it's 2014, and I've found it. If you were still around, I'd ask you to give the provenance for that image -- to go look it up, and make 100% sure it was GFDL, and also to give proper attribution to the original photographer (because GFDL says you have to keep track of where the file came from). But your last edit was in 2012 -- and that was just to blank your userpage.

I've tried Tineye and Reverse Google Image Search, and neither of them could figure out where you got that photo. I even checked through Flickr for pictures of Adamson Stadium, but nothing matches your image. So, because you didn't bother to figure out where that picture came from, and uploaded it without the necessary information, I've had to delete it. DS (talk) 14:27, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
