On permission licensing[edit]

On Wikipedia, we have a strict definition on what is considered a free image:

  1. Firstly, "Wikipedia-only" licenses are not allowed, they have to be freely redistributable.
  2. The requirement of attribution is allowed though (please note)
  3. Commercial use MUST be allowed
  4. Derivative works MUST be allowed.

That's why we can't use stuff like Creative Commons Non-Commercial or No-Derivs, it's not compatable with Wikipedia. Get him to license it under something like "Creative Commons Attribution". ViperSnake151 16:22, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

David Price[edit]

Hey, Will, FWIW I formatted your link on David Price (baseball) substantiating the 97 mph. There are plenty of references in that article so you can see how the formatting templates work if you're interested. (The tricky part is that the magic <ref> tag makes the reference appear at the bottom under references.) Go 'Dores! - PhilipR (talk) 06:49, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
